Good luck ape , I'll b following along with a few questions here n there. On the foliage how often are u using it, also what wetting agent do u prefer my man. Thanks and hope u smash it bud
I have to decided to use the foliar on every feeding which is about twice per week. I use a vegetable based dish soap I get from Target. I've been using it for almost 10 years now...it's cheap, vegetable based, and I've never had any problems with burning. I found it to be really effective treating for pests over the years from my days as a clone vendor.

Great! tips coming from proven Members of the community!
Ive had issues using Neem in certain concentrations.
how many drops per 32 OR 16 OZ bottle of water? went to the target website and they had 119 different dish soap... is there an exact name on the soap?

also i see the 3-5 gallon planers...do you submerge into the water buckets or top feed?
what ppm in the per week are using? coco perlite mix?

Hey Medfinder! I'll post a pic of the vegetable based soap I use tomorrow night. I will be using a top feed system with pressure compensated drippers to insure everything gets watered evenly.

As far as ppm goes: I use RO water that comes out about 30 ppm while leaving the Merlin. I have found over the years that my preferred PPM for MAXIMUM growth is 850-950 of my base nutes. This seemed to hold true until I used House and Garden Aquaflakes or as I call it "Aqua BullShit"! LOL...it's the only nutes I have ever used that I felt had a dramatic negative affect on the garden.

Anyway 850-950 ppm of the the base nutes (Sensi Bloom, CNS17, Dutch Master Gold, GH, Cutting Edge, Heavy 16, etc). I then use a very limited recipe including Epsom Salts (1TBSP/5 gals), CaliMagic (3ml/gal), and whatever Bloom Booster (big bud, etc at 50%). As long as I use my additives at recommended dosages or LESS I think of them as insignificant to total PPM and EC. After all, most of us only really care about PPM or EC in an effort to avoid burning from overfertilization. So...I only worry about my base and bloom booster's ppm because nothing else is used over the recommended dosage from the manufacturer. Besides the biggest culprits of burning is Phosphorous and Nitrogen. I regularly follow a "FEED, FEED, FLUSH" regimen. (I hope all of this rambling made sense.)

Lastly, I follow a line of thinking that by adding "carbon" to the media one could actually use less nutes in most cases. I'm a big fan of HUMIC shale added to my coco. The results of additional smell and vigor is undeniable. Also, Plants are much more oily and shorter with more nodes.

so much great info here! thanks for the years of experience to help us all be better farmers.

i was using 1 tbsp per 1 gallon on the epsom salts and have some nute lockout issues with certain strains going to cut back to your advise.

Thanks Medfinder!

Ok...now onto the newest update and pics. The pics I am posting tonight are from March 23, 2017. That will make the girls 2.5 weeks old. You will see healthy and very bushy plants that resemble nothing like a "Charlie Brown Christmas Tree"! Plants easily have 15-20 tops and are approximately 22" tall.

Last Feeding was Heavy 16 Veg A and B. No Foliar was used because the Jetfuel's leaves seemed to be a little damaged from the foliar spray so decided to skip the week's foliar application as a precautionary move.

Temperature is set at 80, C02 is at 1000ppm, and the next visit for me to the room is 3/27. On 3/27 I will be feeding with just water as a "flush" and I'll be rearranging the room by installing the vertical bare bulbs to finish the remaining 13 days of the vegetative cycle. I'll also increase the amount of Co2 to 1400ppm.

I'll gauge the first 7-10 days of the bare bulb veg to determine when to transfer the girls into 45 gallon cloth fabric pots before initiating 12/12.

I think its doable.... You might not hit those numbers this first round but if you kept doing the exact same set up and picked the heaviest yielding strain I have a good feeling you could hit the numbers your hoping for.. Good luck to you man this is defiantly interesting :)

I was thinking the same exact thing earlier tonight when I was rearranging the room for the rest of veg.

First Pic: is Gorilla Glue #4. She is one of the fastest plants growing in the garden. I placed her next to a 5 gallon bucket for a size comparison. All of the plants are about 2' wide in canopy diameter while also being about 22-26" in overall height.

2nd Pic: Shows the stalk of a Padlock. Notice the stalk is about as thick as my index finger at just 23 days into the veg cycle. I credit a dialed in room environment, optimum nutrition, and great genetics. Specifically I'd like to give Heavy 16 Foliar some credit for this level of quick growth. After using Heavy 16 Foliar the plants are always very happy the next day with a dark green coloration and a burst of growth.

3. Padlock on the Left with GG#4 on the right.

4. A close up shot of the trunk and branching on this Padlock Female. I do a lot of SUPERCROPPING during the veg cycle. In my opinion it blows away FIMMING and Topping by a long shot. Plants continue to grow fast and can easily be manipulated by Supercropping. The amount of branching on these short girls is perfect for our "gro6" project!

5. accidental repost of #3

The following pic is a layout of how I rearranged the Veg Room for the rest of the flowering cycle. Plants were treated with Mites and Mold Wash Out and allowed to dry tonight then moved into their new configuration:

5 1000 watt lights were brought in and mounted vertically WITHOUT reflectors like DoubleD used to do. I learned a lot using this method back in 2012-2013 while growing GIGANTIC mother plants in Northern California. Plants are a size where placing them near each other doesn't block out the light penetration.

Plants were place further away from lights more than normal to cut down on the amount of "Lumen Shock" they will receive. In 48 hours if they show now ill signs they will be gradually moved closer to best take advantage of all of this light!

In addition to rearranging the rooms the following was done:
1. Sprayed Plants with Mites and Mildew Wash Out. It's supposed to kill all mites and mildew including Broad and Russet Mites.
2. Co2 was increased from 1000pm to 1200ppm.
3. Plant Media was flush with 300 ppm solution and then fed with Heavy 16 Roots.
4. 3 additional fans were added to the room including a floor model to help keep the C02 in suspension.
