Hello Farmers,
This is my second scrog grow. My first one is about 4 weeks from finishing. I learned a lot from my first scrog.
This round I'm using a 4 foot tent instead of my 5 foot tent. I think I will be able to reach the center easier. I have also started the LST and screen placing way earlier. My 1st scrog started at about 3 feet high. This one is less than 2 feet high. I have also flipped this round with more squares available for tucking throughout the stretch.
I have two strains in this tent, AC/DC and Blueberry Headband. I usually use Roots Organics soil and I like it well enough. I went with KISS Supersoil this time in 7 gallon smart pots. The plants look good so far they are growing at and average rate and the color is good.
I am using a 600 watt metal halide for the 1st couple weeks of flower then I will switch to HPS. I read on here somewhere that the MH in beginning of flower has benefits. I figure why not try it. From 2 weeks to 4 weeks I'm using a 600 watt HPS and from week 4 to finish I'm going to switch to my 1000 watt HPS.
I am hoping that this AC/DC clone is legit. My wife can't tolerate anything above 4% thc. I am look for the 20% CBD to 1% thc AC/DC pheno. I've smoked it so I know it exists. The Blueberry Headband was an throw in strain so I thought I would give it a go. I have several cuts in the cloner of King Tut which is a keeper. If you haven't tried King Tut I recommend it. It beat GG4 in a blind smoke test among several of my good friends.
Nice and low so far.
Plenty of room for the stretch
Plenty of vertical tent space so I am not fighting the light/ceiling. Plus I can add a second tier of netting.
The hydro store says KISS organic supersoil is a "just add water" from start to finish but I'm going to add a little BioBizz BioBloom and Mammoth P throughout flower. I am going with 600 ppm every water until I see deficiencies or evidence of over fertilization. I am not watering until I get runoff per the soil instructions. I will hit with Kool Bloom at the end and then flush for the final 2 weeks.
I know I won't get a higher yield than my 1st scrog but I'm hoping for less issues/challenges and for better quality.
