Yes if yur ph aint right it causes all kinds of problems.getting it right is important.whatever u give them they wont uptake if yur ph isnt in right range.

yes and over watering and over feeding both jack up your ph and cause lockouts. the cheap Amazon meters work well enough to get you by but you should purchase a good one of you keep at this for a while.
