What's wrong with my babies? they were fine yesterday and now the edges look brown, too much light? Too high ppm on nutrients? I'm flora trio 10ml of each with 20 ml of cali magic with 4 gal of dw in a lpa system. Temp never over 85. I have been blasting them tho with a lot of light more than 18 the past couple of days more for the other plant I rescued from my buddies backyard. (It's doing great had a nitrogen def and a cal/mag all fixed now tho, topped that one was blasting light to try to get some clones from the lower part) maybe light? lmk you masters at work. Also just changed the solution today it was half that strength till today.

They do look a little sad, have you checked the roots? I don't grow hydro but I know that as hydro water temp rises oxygen saturation falls exponentially. Roots need some oxygen and not getting enough can lead to real problems. Also a pic under natural-ish light - ie regular 60w lightbulb or a decent flashlight- gives a much more reliable picture. Looks like you have LED's running and the picture is skewed with purplish light. Good luck and check the roots, if they're dark brownish they're dying/not doing well

Thanks, I do have air running. As its a closed box (res inside the same box with 2 4 inch airsrones) the roots look good tho. originally they were started in organic soil (not super soil) I rinsed them really well under the pur filter, put them in lava rocks and net pot until the roots started sticking out of the pot, then I transfered them to a net pot with the bottom cut off (better spray coverage) and a collar. Here's a pic of the roots note that any black was soil I couldn't get off (didn't really bother the last plant I transplanted) not mold lol. Since last night when I checked the roots there is already new growth.

I promisses my system works well as this is a pic of my other plant I saved from my boys planter in his backyard, nursed it back to health and now it's roots exploded (I saved it cause he said it was from a bag of diesel dog I gave him and that bud was piff) it's even bigger than the pic now.

OP those roots look fine. Not sure why your girls are looking sad but maybe they'll snap out of it. I'm no hydro guru. Good luck

Yeah I'm thinking light burn I had 40w cfl above each at like 2 inches for 72 hrs straight all the new growth looks fine the stems got stronger. I'm not super worried about it anyways some 25 seeds just left queens tn for nj I popped these to make sure my environment was working for the money stuff... mmm strawberry banana sounds like a winner. BTW anyone know if you can use the rapid rooter plugs in an aerosystem or does it grow mold??? or is it easy to break off the plugs and go mediumless? this is my first grow in like 10 years and back then aero was not nearly as popular. I'd like the do some organic when I have the money but I grow hydro peppers and tomatoes (on a drip, dutch leach trays)so a diy system was cheap and I already have nutrients, a win win in my book. what do you guys think about the plugs?
