Six days since last photo.
As the surrounding buds continue to grow, it becomes ever more evident the this is simply a heat/light killed budlet whose core remains alive and is protruding out of shrinking dead tissue.
At first I though I had stress forced a hermy, because it looked like an anther pod growing from the bud.
Harvesting at 9 weeks (12 days).

With one week to harvest, the new bud continues to grow, and the dead budlet seems to be sinking below the surface.
