I need advice on switching to led ima run 3-4 plants in a tent what's the best option 2 300watt or 1200 w in fox farm soil

Need more information,what size tent?
And when you say led and then give a wattage in the same sentence people have to wonder if you are stating the actual power draw from the wall or just some random number the led company makes up to sell us lights.

Well for a 3x3 tent your best bet is just use a 315w cmh fixture,way more light then that 1200w Mars panel and will last much longer. For a 4 x 4 tent get a 630w cmh or a 600w hps setup and be done with it. Those are the wattages needed in those 2 size tents so if you wanted to toss money at those cheap led you can multiply the numbers to get the proper wall wattage.
There's much better led panels available but the cmh and hps options fall more in line with your budget

Yea I ran 600 hps on my first grow throws out to much heat but are the cmhs the same cause I have to go do sum homework on those you have any photos using those and appreciate the quick reply aswell

Those LEDs are all shit.

Ask me how I know??

You want a Cree 3590 cob style led. Or a Samsung lm561c diaode strip style board.

This would blow away all those leds if u got 2 300 n the 1200.

Cuz mars leds, the 300 is a legit 120 watts at the wall. The spectrum sucks n you will get thin stems, slow growth, still a good bit of heat, etc. that 1200 is like 375 or so at the wall.

Now, guys do well with them. But very far n few between. But u can make em work.

Y I hate on em.....
they claim the world. If it breaks after 60/90 days, it's your dime. Still puts off lots of heat, doesn't compare to a 125 hps spec n is just junk from China being sold on Amazon.

They claim all the led perks but deliver on zero of em.

The link, it's an awesome, efficient, real cutting edge led tech. It will actually do all the things leds are supposed to.

Much less heat, much less power draw, awesome spec that will compare to hid/hps or lec/cmg production at harvest.

remember with the 1200 you will need good ventilation even with the other 2 Led's Even if they are "shit" or below par you can still do very well - go with it spend no more money

Dude just buy 1 or 2. of that link n be done.

Or even one if these.

Hawk, if u try one of the better panels....ik you ll see better results.

You prolly do well with a few mars 300. But there's a greener pasture

Dude I had a galaxy 300. I sold it to a buddy for a oil cartridge.

I was hotter, didn't put off a wide "throw" of light. It only gave 2 smaller plants a good bit of light. When it came to flowering, I pretty had it above my biggest plant n 3 lil 2 -42w cfl hoods made to supplement around things.

That's on top of the t5 I had running side ways along the back wall. It is just a 2 bulb 54w ea light..... but regardless I had a good bit of poor lighting in a 4x3.

Than I got a 400 hps w vented hood.

Things doubled across the board. Growth, stem thickness, amount n size of leafs, everything

It was used, it burnt out. Got a 600, things perked up even more.

Than got a hgl 135w led. I have to run my air ducting a bad way n it blocks a corner of the closet. I put it right above that smaller plant n added two 80mm fans for active + passive cooking since it was close to my 600.

The plant under it was the runt of the litter, plus it didn't get optimal lighting from the hps. It's awesome now, still hasn't caught up to the others, but I can't expect it to since it was half the size 35 days ago n put in my poor area.

But the nug on it is so dense n crystallized.

Buy a real led. Plz don't be like me n waste 375 on shit u sold for 30% of its buy price or its in the corner n your wife was complains about it.
