Why Wont My Seedlings Sprout

Hey so im new to growing and i recently purchased the lowryder autoflower strain and i been having some trouble sprouting seedlings, i had came home from work one day to find my seedlings almodt shrivled up and my lihht was lowered because it is a clamp light. i rehydrated the seeds and replanted them, and one plant started to stand up on its own again and i moved the light hihher than usual about 7"feet and the next morning i woke up to shriveled seeds . im using a 160 Ww plant ight and i water the seedlings everytime i see them get dry. it jas been three days and they have not sprputed yet. someone HELP

Kinda confused here... what do you mean you rehydrated and replanted them... why were they unplanted?

Also 7 feet away is waaaaayyyyy too far. Not sure what light you're using but it's typically ideal in the 12-24" range pending the intensity

Can you possibly get a better picture? Because in that it looks like it's having a hard time shedding the shell. If the shell doesn't come off the plant dies.

Not much better, but yeah, it looks like your plant can't shed the seed. Spray it with some water and you make have to help it remove it, or it's gonna die.

I really do like doing the sprout in a damp paper towel and then planting. Even for an auto. Just do not replant the auto and put it right from sprout into a 3 gallon pot ;) IMHO

no bro but i believe its becaude my high watt clamp.light lowered while i was at work and dried and shrivled up my seedlings

How close was it and what kind of light is it?

Not good if a seedling shriveled up...

it was about 6 to 7 inches away and its a plant light and its about 160 watts thats what is says on the on package

Oh boy... spray that seed with some water, and in 15 minutes VERY CAREFULLY remove that shell. Or that thing is dead. If it's not already.

May be dampening off if the stem is thinning as well...


I've used a toothpick/tweezers before to remove. There's also a clear layer that may be need to be removed as well to open up the cotyledons

i just tried to remove it but i cant seem to get a grip but thanks for your help man
