Basically as u may see in my last thread just done lemon haze in 12 litre smart pots ran into so many problems with this grow main problem being roots , i used biobizz allmix and put that into the smart pot literally no pebbles no perilite nothing , used terra canna products so terra flores canazyme rhitz boost pk . The crop was a flop as u can see in my last thread, Canna is expensive only used it cos its all iv ever used. If smeone could suggest a good medium (bascially everythin i need and the ratios) they will he going in 12 litre plastic pots maybe bigger and i need a good nutrient line up from start to finish with the dosages i would appreciate so much, will be going for mostly yielding not too much on flavour (obvs needs to be good to but need to yield much as possible) so if you know or used any strains which are good plz suggest, iv only grown super lemon haze and lemon haze - super lemon is the best just couldnt get it in the end had to go with lemon. Will be in a 3 meter by 6 meter space with 4 600watt aircooled hps . Any help i would really appreciate it!!

The asap part always scares me and I consider to be a very common mistake for most new growers.

I'm not saying you are new but as many have found out rushing a grow without proper planning and making decisions on the fly leads to losses financially, in time, in quality, personal stress and failure.

Since everyone's grows are different take the time to find out what you need in order to properly control your grow... Start to finish and these questions.

Will heat be an issue?

Will cold be an issue?

Are CO2 levels adequate?

Is humidity going to be an issue? Too low or to high?

Is lighting adequate to meet my expectations?

What type of media will i use? Hydro/soil?

What type of nutrients and or supplements will I need?

Do i have adequate airflow around the plants?

Do I need odor control?

Do I have adequate electrical service available to my grow space?

How am I going to control the equipment needed for my grow?

Then research and become familiar with your choices.

There are a ton of smaller ones that branch of of these and others will probably add other important factors. Such as reflective material for increased efficiency etc. etc.

I'm only posting this because of your last grow. I think you need to take time to plan.... If i haven't said that enough yet.

If you take the time to research each question and are able to answer them so that they are adequate from seed until harvest you will have a much easier time.

As exciting as it is to start a new grow you will thank yourself for patience and planning at the end of your grow. Take the time to make your grow great, its amazing how easy it is to grow when you plan things out instead of react.

I grow in coco coir and will never switch back to soil. I also grow in 1 gallon fabric pots (plants get to be about 3-4feet tall after the flower stretch). I use master blend nutrient line which was about $30.00 for all three and they’re in 2lb bags, it will last me FOREVER. I use half a teaspoon of each per gallon. Sometimes I only use 1/4 a teaspoon if I start to see nutrient burn. I don’t use the calcium nitrate during flower, just the other two. During veg, I use all three. Fabric pots prevent plants from getting root bound and dry out better. I feed each day (sometimes I miss a day, no biggie). You could use the 3 gallon fabric pots for coco if you want bigger plants.

Edit: I buy the compressed coco and rinse it until it runs clear

Bio bizz all mix is the worste of the big name soils in my opinion.its shite.the drainage is terrible.you water it and it turns to mud for a few days.i,v never used those canna products you mentioned.are those meant for soil those nutes?
For a new grower I,m not going to bombard you with soil mix,s and beneficial bacteria etc etc as I feel it's not what most new growers need.they need it as simple as possible for the first few grows at least until they,v got a few crops under they'r belts and a wee bit of experience with plants and theyr needs before going into better but more complicated methods.
So this is as easy and basic as it gets.its newbie proof. Canna pro plus soil, mixed with worm castings at 2 parts soil I part worm castings.thats it for medium.for nutes bio bizz grow bio bizz bloom and bio bizz Alga mic and if you have the money bio bizz top max. Although you can get away with out the top max if u have to.biobizz soils shite but they'r nutes aren't.
The canna pro plus soil has an excellent texture.it has a spongey feel from the white peat in it.it has great airation even when fully wet and never turns sludgey or anything.
If you don't already have one get a ph pen.
Just stick to the nutrient ratios on the bottles.

I'm a big believer of a 50% coco coir, 35% foxfarm ocean forest potting soil, 15% finished compost from my bin. I use this mix for most of my potted plants but I haven't tried it with my cannabis plants yet - I'm simply using 100% coco coir and a synthetic nutrient line (cutting edge solutions) and Great White mycorrhizae but I'm not super happy with that choice at the moment.
I think the tap water obliterated the mycorrhizae when I first watered as Portland's water supply is chlorinated and fluoridated. I've been letting my water sit for ~24 hours now prior to use.

Been goin by this chat here but i used the biobizz soil, worst thing to do u are absolutely spot on it turns to mud for 3 to 4 days almost lookin like cement loool nah never again the roots couldnt breath even when i thought i was overwatering i gave half the normal feed and also sprinkled instead of poured and it went muddy for 3 days my roots suffocating . U are suppose to use the terra soil in this chart but iv never used it i used biobizz before with pebbles and plants were a good turnout however still kinda had drainage issues i need a soil that will hold the moisture but also not get so muddy and thick, also watever soil i do use i dont know what to add the pebbles or the perilite? Any suggestions i would appreciate

You don’t need the root space like you do in soil and get the same size plants in smaller containers but you need the air pots or fabric smart pots to air prune he roots. Also (IMO) a lot cleaner if you’re growing indoors.

I use 80% Promix and 20% composted manure ($1.79/30 lb bag) in 5 gallon buckets. I use Jacks 20-20-20 fertilizer, wood ashes, and a regular blooming/flowering fertilizer when 12/12. It costs about $60 to fill up 7 or 8 buckets. That's it. I've used this formula for 30+ years and never had a problem. Impossible to overwater, no Ph or nutrient swings/burns. It is as simple as possible and as reliable s the sunrise. The hardest part is deciding what to do between planting and harvesting, besides watering as needed. No pebbles, no perlite. No mud.
Folks don't believe that you can have a successful grow without all of the potions, powders, bells, and whistles. 1000 watt HID x2 in a large 12 x 8 room. This recipe is like a Timex, it just won't quit!

That sounds good im in loft 6 x 3 , was gonna go with aircooled hps hooded with ducking extracting, 12 plants in 5 gallon pots, quock question is it good to have fresh air (intake) constantly on or set up to timer? Also iv never had fan control for my 12 inch RVK its always been on max i figured it would need to be considering its for a 6 x 3 space or nah?

How much would you day you was harvesting off one plant? Average yielding strain? I usually do lemon haze or super lemon haze

My indica’s give me about 2.5 ounces dried per plant in one gallon smart pots. I have a couple sativas about ready for harvest (strawberry amnesia and cafe racer) that grew to about 4 ft tall that look like they’ll give me 3-4 ounces dried per plant. They are also in 1 gallon smart pots.
I top each plant multiple times, sometimes I mainline them too.
