Thanks for the tip man , it’s been over 100 this past week I hope it cools down next week because this heat wave has been stupid hot , 110 in the middle of the day. Bur I gave them a big ass tub to sit in with some cool water hopefully making them cooler . Oh and do they make pea moss pots any bigger then 3 inc ?
Oh yeah. I've seen them up to 5-6" but they're about a buck a piece. I use the little ones because they're so cheap and work great. Makes transplanting a breeze but dry out fast and in your heat you'd have to watch them close. They're also very easy to over water. I have to play that game every day I leave for work. Did I add enough water? Too much water? When I get home I run up and check. Usually the water in the pan is gone but the pots are still moist. Pain in the ass but I have no choice.

Yeah I just worry about if the pots to hot because I know warm soil isn’t very good for the roots . It’s jist stressful growing in this desert but it’s cheaper then letting my electric bill sky rocket

Yup. I did the whole indoor growing about 40 years ago. Cost me a fortune in lighting and cooling. I doubt I'll ever do it again. I could have just bought a pound every 5-6 months and would have been way ahead.

Yeah I tried to grow indoors Before but wasn’t a fan of it . I saw on your grow diary you use horse manure compost . How’s that go for you ?

Really well. I've got a client with horse property and they produce piles of the stuff and are happy to give me as much as I can take. Once I get the big greenhouse in place I'll frame the inside about 3' from the walls and fill it with horse manure and top soil. I'm also making tea and feeding it once a week to the plants in the pots and monthly on the ones in the ground. Horse or cow manure is magic but you have to be careful not to use the poop after deworming as it will kill the worms in the soil. My clients puts that manure in a separate location for a month after treatment and have that hauled away. I'm sold on using it as a mulch and fertilizer and the tea has really helped.

Really you feed your plants tea? What dose it do for them . And I’m interested in that manure because I can probably do the same thing and make some soil for whenever I want to put my plants in the ground .
