Hello everyone I’m trying to implement co2 into my sealed room but I didn’t take into consideration the fact that the Portable AC I have would exhaust the air in the room. Is there any alternatives to mini splits for my situation? Or perhaps anything that could work better than a portable AC? I was trying to get information on a dual hose portable ac but can’t find much on wether that would exhaust the air in the room. Any input is appreciated, thanks.

Hello and welcome to the Farm!

Yes, you could do this -

So what I did I stuck my portable AC unit halfway through the panda plastic, cut a hole in my wall going outside to exhaust all the hot air out of the house, but pulling cool air from OUTSIDE of my grow room, so the AC just recirculates the air in the grow room, instead of exhausting it. Get it?

So essentially what you have to do is look at your portable AC. Figure out which intake is which. Separate the hot side from the cold side. Make sure hot air intake and exhaust is separate from your cold air intake and cold air exhaust. Keep cold air in your grow room, keep hot air out of your grow room. Pretty simple with the style AC unit I used.

Any AC will need to vent heat outdoors, whether it's a single or dual hose portable, through the wall, mini split (still vents outside, just via coolant rather than air)
Do you have an exterior wall in your room to vent out of?
If so I'd recommend a through the wall AC, that's what I use in my shed when it's hot in the summer. Works really well.

Equipment side of sealed room. AC, dehumidifier, heater, humidifier, circulation fans, scrubber CO2 injection and all run off controllers. It's not cheap to Run a sealed room. Dehumidifier is a huge must.

I believe a duel hose will work. Both hoses are vented. One is intake and the other is exhaust. So it's taking outside air in and running it across the hot side coils then back out. The inside air is then sucked in through vents over the cold side coils and expelled back into the room. The coils are separated and have separate fans. So a duel hose will work but a single hose will not.

How long have you had the Noma @Aqua Man ? I went through 2, 70 pinters in less than 2 years. One lasted me like 5 months.
Im running a $250 Toshiba I picked up at Home depot that's turning out to be an awesome machine, Kept the room at 35%RH for the last week of flower no problem, and it's got one of the smoothest cycling compressors I've heard in one of these little dehus.

Lol this is my second and it's acting up. I literally get 6 months out them. Just starting another run so I have about 2 weeks to get another and it will not be a noma lol. Also going to a 70 pint. I have been looking at the fridgidair as a possible replacement bit if you are doing well with Toshiba I may just go with that

This is the info for the one I got, also a 70 pint, check them out. They're a highly rated machine that gets excellent reviews and they're super affordable. I like mine a lot.

Another cool thing is it has a constant run function, so the compressor doesnt cycle except for a defrost once every 12 hrs. Just constantly pulls water at full tilt.

Thanks... Does it have auto restart function? I run mine off a controller that cuts power since the sensors are a bit more accurate. Bit I guess I could always set it and let it do it thing if needed. Definitely gonna check it out but I'm off to bed.

Thanks again @Dirtbag
