Ask @MIMedGrower about PbP grow... That's all he uses start to finish. No bloom

advanced nutrients and dyna grow have both published their cannabis tissue samples and they show very little variation in nute uptake start to finish.

The old cannabis book experts all say most any ratio works but settle on 2-1-2. None of the old books talk about switching nutes.

And in my trials i got better and longer plant health, bigger yields and more potency. As long as we dont overfeed or flush all the nutes out of the medium at the end. That hurts yield and potency too but is another discussion.

Since this necro thread is revived here is the president of dyna grow sharing his test results. Shame he still sells noobs 4 bottle bullshit starter packs. He admits he added the bloom bottle die to customer demand and not science.

I forgot about this but the president of dyna grow also dispels the myth about beneficials and additives for flavor. He says sulfer molecules are more responsible for flavor than anything.

In other words a proper complete balanced fertilizer is all you need.

Yes but remember to taper off the feed strength as the flowers ripen and need less.

Even more important with a concentrated chemicle salt based nute.
Off course, have to do that even when using the bloom nutrients. Thanks for the tips, I'm looking forward to trying this out. If I can improve upon this I'll be over the moon.

I just wish I had two plants of the same strain and at the same age to better gauge the difference but I haven't had a good reason to switch things up for a minute so this should be fun.

Yeah that's why I boost my mag sulfate last 3weeks

He says his foliage pro bottle has all you need. He didnt say boosting sulfer was responsible for flavor. He said the sulfer in there was enough. No additives needed.

Pretty much the same kind of myth.

I have been saying that when a grower sees a big difference after adding something extra it only means that there was a limiting factor already.

I did compare 3 sets of known clones 3 times to be sure.

I expected to need to leach pots to remove nitrogen but instead i had to leach more when i uses PBP bloom soil.

It must be the phosphorous buildup blocking roots. Its also responsible for harsh flavor and maybe less potency.

When the buds crackle in the bowl and dont completely burn it is also too much phosphorous.

I do grow in potting soil like ocean forest but in 3 gallon pots. And never add any additives, boosters or bennies.

I recently grew a 7.5 oz dry plant in that little pot with only well water in veg and medium doses of PBP grow to the end.

The buds are very potent and super tasty.

I'm using mega crop I have always supplemented mag sufate at the end... Not that I found a deficiency but because sulfur is largely responsible for terpene and flavonoids so ensure I have more than enough is good enough reason for me. Mag sulfate is like $5 a pound so for me it's not even a question but to add it and have seen no negative effects. I feel like it helps but that could be my own bias.

Good evening, I have been reading this thread and find it very interesting. So are you saying that you only use the PRO BLOOM SOIL and PRO GROW ?

Umm... can we make a distinction here between bloom nutrients and bloom boosters? I don't use bloom boosters and wasn't promoting their use but are you two (aquaman, cemchris) really not switching to bloom nutrients during that stage? I've Just never seen this recommended. Ive used the gh 3 part and it had completely different ratios for veg and bloom, now I use pure blend pro now which has separate solutions for each. I've never used veg nutrients for my entire grow, seems so wrong, please explain.
+1 Grew this on 20/20/20 all the way through, plus a little calmag

I disagree with the theory that a plants will only change its response to a change in nutrients if I didn't have adequate to begin with... But we can agree to disagree on that.

I didnt mean change response. They definitely respond. They also suck up everything you give them being an accumulator plant.

Im saying if you get more potent bigger buds or healthier plant something was limiting that already.

Ahhh got ya... I use it as I say cheap and as insurance... Not a whole bunch I bump it about 30ppm I have no way to know if it's being uptaken at a faster rate... I don't have water samples teated. I really wish I could test samples all through the grow to know exactly what is being taken up. It doesn't hurt and I feel it helps but again that could just be my bias brother.

I also should have said the effects are likely greater and more noticible in hydro than potting soil. Or coco for that matter.

Hahaha brother... I was just yapping with @FourthCity and said the exact same thing like 10 mins ago. When he was talking about doing a comparison... I said do it in hydro because the faster growth will make it more pronounced
