So this is my first time cloning. I am using a done + a ready to go clone kit from a local hydroponics store, plus Clonex rooting gel. It has been 84 hours since I took cuttings and processed them. I take the dome off once a day to wipe out and most clones and rooting medium.

These clones were taken during week 2 of flower from a Planet Dosi lady.

When can I check to see if they have taken root? They aren't wilting and still look alive. Also how do I check? By lifting the clone by it's stem and seeing if there are roots attached to the medium?

You wipe the clones and rooting medium? what does that mean? Yeah keep changing air once a day, in 4-5 days start opening the dome slowly each day. It takes about 10-14 days to root without heating mat. When they are 10 days you can startt checking if the have any roots.

Tell me your ways @Nugg that’s insane.

2 weeks for me using a air pump, air stone and water method.

cut off undergrowth, snip the top 3-6 inches off that on a angle , set it into puck and into the water it goes

Only difference really I can read is I do use cloxe x gel.....I take upper new growth off a Branch, cut in angle..oh. I make sure my cutting is long enough so that the set of Branch starters?? Stick through the bottom..I use rockwool..not that that matters..still only used to hold cutting..not to root in...then I put right into system....my system...it's different also....I'll see if I have some pics..IDK.time stamp has those at morning of day 4..

No..just home made rcdwc...I use as a mister for clones and seedlings..I just raise water level..open net at this point..mist from bubbles keeps stem moist until roots start..then I add 1" of hydration pebbles to net..then drop water level down as roots grow...I've found I have to keep my rockwool dry once roots develop...it sits in a piece of 2" foam cut to fit net..1" above the pebbles...it's super simple but has taken me years to figure out..slow learner I am....

Sorry we highjacked your tread....good luck.

13 days today...if it helps..I believe it's the cutting that determines the time..fast growing new growth...I can show you what I look for as I have some I'd cut if needed.?

A way I've started cloning is in a mini-aeroponic domed breeder I slapped together. I took a small all black light proof storage container, cut a large square out of the top, covered with flexible poly-foam, glued and then foil topped the hole I'd made (needs to be light proof). The end idea being I can cut and prep a clone, and then just slide it to be held in place by the foam alone until roots form. Then I can transfer to a net cup, or whatever. Keeps me from paying money on rockwool, and gives direct sight to the stems. For the dome I used a clear storage container turned upside down, and then placed four 100watt equivelent LED bulbs with the bottom of the bulbs cut off to essentially turn them into flood lights. Total cost for the home-made aeroponic clonechamber, ~$100. And that's including the lights. Once the roots set you will need to transfer. The aeroponic system is just a tiny 150 gpm water pump, pvc pipe, and sprinkler heads from e-bay. I made a water pump filter out of poly fleece and a basket from the dollar store.
