Good morning fellow growers! New member here, thought I’d start a discussion about getting off the pre mixed solutions like “Clonex” cloning solution for instance. I’ve used this with the clonex gel and root riot plugs in a humidity dome with 100% sucesss so far but I’m interested in just using the nutrients I already have on hand that I’m giving my plants instead of going to the grow store for another packet of solution mix. I’m a small scale grower so no need for a another huge $25 bottle of something that I couldn’t use before it expires! Thnx 😎✌️

Yea, and clonex sells a ketchup size packet for a few bucks, pretty sure its a few dollars , 8 dollars ,size small but will do the job, check it out

Right.... that’s what I was referring to & I’ve been using the packets! Trying to eliminate a trip to the grow store!

I’m looking for recipes using Roots Excelerator gold. And I’ve also heard of some using B-52 , Along with some Microbials

2 ball mason jars, 3" net pot some stones and a root riot plug, water to almost the bottom of the net. use any additives you think you may need? this method has been 100% for me no matter the clone or the water. i use tap adjusted to 5.5 ish and a drop of some voodoo juice if i remember.

I used Clonex for a few years with great success although it was a bit spendy. Tried a few others but always went back to using Clonex.
Back in 2015 I bought a bag of Kloning Powder from Kelp 4 Less and have not bought Clonex since.
I'm still using what's in the almost 5 year old little baggie with really good success.
Roots start popping inside of 7 days every time.
I use the stuff in an EZ-Clone machine filled with RO water. No dome and no pH adjustments.
Light does'nt seem to matter as long as there's some sort of light. I've ran my machine outside on a deck and under the canopy of large plants in veg. I've used T5, CFL, and household LED...they all worked well

Outstanding , nice , learn a new trick everyday ! Thanks....

Right On Beachwalker! How much of that per gallon?, as I was referring to the solution not what we put directly on cuttings....Thnx for your tip! 😎
See that's the thing; I just noticed this was about cloning solution not cloning powders and gels and I don't use solution but yeah that's what I use and it works great, same active ingredient as clonex at a slightly lower ratio as I recalled, but I feel it sticks on better, hope that helps? -good luck!
