So I recently moved into a new location and have had nothing, but issues with growing since being here. This is my fourth indoor grow and I have never encountered the type of issues that I am currently having. My plants legitimately just won’t grow to the capability that I’ve always been able to achieve before. I grow in 100% coco inside a 4x8 tent. Humidity fluctuates between 50% give or take and temps hover between 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit. Currently using fox farm grow big nutes Ppm is around 400 after done mixing. I have well water and was almost positive that was the cause of my issues, but I recently switched to my previous water supply because I moved out of my parents house, but still haven’t been able to grow like what I’m use too. Plants are in fabric pots largest being 5 gallon and the smallest being 1 gallon. The plants are intermittently droopy and are even beginning to yellow out from the bottom. I water till I see 20% run off. They are growing underneath a 900 watt g8led grow light. Only recently have some begun to perk up, but just to have them droop a couple days later. Will attach as many pictures and videos as I can to show you what I mean. I did struggle a lot with pH at the beginning of the grow, but have gotten that predominantly under control now. Though I have had pH issues in the past and never encountered the issues I’m having now. The plants are growing, but it’s so slow that is has me very concerned. I’m running out of ideas on what to do. Any help or advice at this point would be much appreciated.

I have soil not coco, looks like nutrient lockout if ph is off. If ph is good then I'd feed them more, they look hungry to me but we have different growing conditions

I don't think you need to sweat it, They look okay, a few yellow lower leaves but shit I always have some issues with leaves at one time or another through the grow. How old are they ( 5-6 weeks)
Moving them might have stressed them out some. What are you feeding them? I've also never grown in those giant fabric pots you're using. I don't know how you can have 20% run off when having small plants in 5 gallon pots. I'd think it would take forever to dry out enough to feed/water regularly. I transplant up as needed. ( I use 3 gallon plastic ). I see lots using the large fabric pots with success, I just can't figure out why the need.

Thanks for the reply and reassurance! They are actually approximately 10 weeks old believe it or not. I had serious ph issues at the start of the grow and almost killed most of them so it took weeks to get them back to growing normal. I’ve never had issues with the plants filling the pots before which is why I’m thinking it may still be a pH issue causing them to grow so slowly. These plants I’ve started at my house so never had to relocate them. I guess my question would be what should I do first moving forward?

I forgot to mention that I feed them fox farm grow big nutes with the ppm at about 400 after mixing. Water ppm from the tap is approximately 160 before mixing

Sorry , I missed the small pots, I thought you had all of them in 5 gallon.

I know not about the light you use 900wled. (I use a 1000w hps) or how far they're supposed to be from the light but I bought a cheap lux meter $15 Cdn that gave me a much better picture of where my plants should be.

I find my plants grow best when they go through a lot of water. How long between waterings / feedings? I like the heat my light puts out to help go through the water. I water/feed every 3-4 days. I'm no expert, I'm just trying to give you my insight from my experiences.

My flower room runs 79-83f. I've been having problems with low humidity causing slow growth and leaf problems. I didn't get much vertical growth over the last few weeks either and lower fan leaves yellowed & dried up.

Hey man I appreciate any and all advice you have to give! The LED is suppose to be the equivalent to 1200 watts HPS. It’s a really powerful light to the point that the plants begin to droop a few hours before the lights go out! I’ve done research and apparently it is somewhat normal based photosynthetic ability of plants and that most don’t have access to 18 hours of light in nature. Recently since I switched water sources I would say that I water every 3-4 days, but before it was approximately once a week. I could try lowering the light to provide extra heat to help them dry out. I’m seriously thinking of transplanting my 1 gallons into soil to see if it makes a difference. I’m currently growing in 100% coco.

So how is the water at your new location compared to the water at your old location? It sounds like that is where the issue is coming from. Your new location water supply is most likely different than your old water supply i.e. more or less calcium, iron, magnesium etc than before. Maybe consider an RO filter system so you know exactly what you are putting into your plants.

hey, ya I use a peat based medium this round a Promix no name brand. I believe I need to add some more perlite to aerate it better. I've never used the coco, I'm too old to go through the learning curve with a new medium. If I changed anything I think I'd go DWC I like the clean look of that system.

My current location is on well water. At first I didn’t think much of it, but over time I noticed the rotten egg smell and calcium build up in the toilet, sinks, etc. PPM out of the tap ranges from 280-300 which from my understanding isn’t that bad for well water. I unfortunately don’t have a complete test that tells exactly what’s in it. I moved out of a small town into what is probably the most rural township in Massachusetts being Rehoboth. I know that’s probably irrelevant to you guys, but my previous water supply was I guess you could say city water. I did buy and RO and even a whole house water filter that I’m currently waiting to have installed next week. Do you think I should have it tested before installing these filters to get an idea of what’s in it?

You could have it tested but if you are already getting an RO system installed then it will be a moot point. My well water comes out 650ppms and I have been growing with it for 10+ yrs up until now, because my current strain just would not tolerate it. I now use RO water and supply my own calcium and magnesium and have had Zero issues since. I am sure once you start feeding with RO water you will see drastic changes. It is likely that your current well water has too much calcium causing potassium lockout which looks like it is starting to show in your plants. Will definitely cause stunted growth.

Just keep in mind when you switch to RO you will need to add calmag to your water probably to the tune of 50 to 100 ppms of cal mag

Thanks man I really appreciate the advice because I was completely stumped! Still new at this and was beginning to get discouraged. I plan on having the RO installed this Wednesday and will do as you recommend! I will update once I get it installed and begin to water regularly!

Just following up with you guys to let you know that I have not yet installed the RO, but I did transplant into soil and have been watering with my previous water source and the difference in my plants is day and night! Will post pictures to show the progress when I can 👍🏻

I’m currently in 100% coco and going through the same thing, plants are great until 4 week of flower then as I up the water they just retain it have nute build up and burns , can’t seem to get the irrigation right.

Have you checked ph as a potential issue? I’ve encountered similar issues in the past and found that improper ph caused a subsequent nutrient lockout. If you haven’t already done so maybe giving them a good flush could potentially get things back in motion and then when they start up taking water again reintroduce nutrients at the proper ph and ppm!

Ahhh, this is a coco grow... I have no experience there. I'll just turn around and leave.

However, before I go I will say this. The most common cause of nutrient lock out is 1) improper pH 2)Toxic nute build-up. I'll let the coco pros help you sort out the details. I'm going to post this chart on my way out the door. Best of luck in solving your issue ...
