Having never done a re-veg before I need some opinions on if this plant has flipped back to veg? It was put back under 19/5 light/dark on Feb. 16. Like I said this is new to me, so I do not have any experience in timing, but it looks like new branch growth coming out below where I chopped the tops. Also wondering if cutting and putting back in veg early, not letting the plant complete its flower cycle, may have cut down on the time to revert back to veg. Any help, guidance or advice is much appreciated!

I had heard some bro-science about throwing single blade fans when it flips back to veg, but we know how bro science works, hence why I was asking for some confirmation. Thanks for the reply though!

Its true. They go through stages of confusion and first grow single distorted leaves. Then netter looking single leaves usually without the serrated edge. Eventually back to normal growth. Can take weeks or more.

I have a few flowering reveg clones going now. Here are a couple. I have even rooted a 9 and an 11 week bud with a couple leaves on them. Took forever though.

What are the benefits you see from this method of revegging?
I have heard the plant will have more tops. Is there any additional benefits?

No special benefit although i have heard outdoor growers like to harvest and reveg the lower half of the whole plant. Known as Monster Cropping because they branch out more and create “Monsters”.

I just do it to run plants i like again. The cuts dont wild and branchy like a full reveg plant would.

Heres that 11 week little bud i clipped to see if it would reveg. It was fantastic bud. I was super surprised it worked at the time. But i lost the clones to PM a while back from my own errors. Kept the dome too wet too long.

I just root them in a glass of water then planted in ocean forest and perlite. Now using pro mix again.

As for me, I killed my clone of this. This pheno had the most pungent smell of the group I ran, so I really wanted to keep it.

Yes,it would revert back to veg faster. If you want to put it back in flower it will be better if you wait it to start growing normal leaves. You can clean the older, lower reverted stuff. You can take clones with one finger leaves.

Thanks for the advice! First time at this re-veg thing. I was thinking I should wait till the plant matured a little and got back to 5 finger leafs before I started taking cuttings. May follow your advice and take different cuttings at different times and see which root faster or if it makes a difference.

Last update and this thread is finished. Reveg was a complete success and the plant will be going into flower with the next round. I got my cutting rooted and the pheno preserved.

If I can be successful with the reveg game I may stop taking clones and rethink lollipoping, maybe leave a little more vegetation at the bottom for the reveg. Seems like I remember @SPARECHANGE saying something about cutting off parts of root balls to slow plants down in veg and wonder how that would work once they revert and removing them from their pots and giving them new soil without having to go a pot size bigger. I really like these 1.75 gal pots, going up to 3gal isn't that much more space in the pot and going up to 5gal is just to much soil and too much floor space.

Do you usually do re-veg? Looks like you have it pretty well figured out.
No I don't, I just stuck these in the dirt with root gel when I was cleaning up the bottom of the plants. around 2 weeks into flower I hate seeing good cuttings go to waste. I've done this before and they re-vegged easily.

These are from a plant that doesn't like to be re-vegged. I had to sex the mother and when I found out she was a she I put her back into veg again for a month but she didn't want to reveg she just kept growing small buds and trident shaped leaves.

When I finely put her back into flower she lost all her leaves quickly and grew monster buds. She's worth revegging. I'm still a month away from turning them so I'm hoping in that time they grow real leaves. I keep topping them to keep them down, that should help thicken the stalk tand branches that are too frail.

I broke a branch off trying to tighten the strings so I stuck her in a cup of water 10 days ago and she still has life. I've kept it on 12/12 just to see what it'll do.
