I’m recently switched over to 100% coco as I saw many did with great results. I’m currently running 1gal bags/ro system/drip system and seem to come to a wall right around week 4 in flower. As I up the water to about 2-3,3-4 times a day the plants begin to just retain the water and building up causing my plants to burn. Cant seem to find the right irrigation levels for coco

Some shots, at about 7 and half weeks

Shots from week 4, not sure if I’m maybe pushing to much calmag or it’s due to having no perlite etc in the coco to help drainage/aeration. Any thoughts on irrigation volume?

In 1 gals fertigating 4x a day, by week 4 you probably need to add another fertigation event. By week 4 I do 6x a day and I’m in 3 gals. Check the runoff EC and if it’s about 200ppm over your input the medium is getting too dry and causing salt buildup. In order to minimize buildup I run the drippers to runoff every time, and do a weekly microbe flush by hand.

do you flush once a week?

Thank you man! Wasn’t sure if I was feeding to much or to little, I’ll def up it and see. How much volume do you water ?

One of these days I’ll have to measure that...I get asked that question a lot. I measure watering by time. With my setup and four 2gph drippers per pot, it takes anywhere from 7-9 minutes every two hours of lights on to achieve adequate runoff. Depending on week of flower and plant transpiration levels. Your mileage may vary depending on your setup. I catch the runoff and just make sure the levels remain consistent and the EC doesn’t rise too much. I also check on the plants every few days during the first watering event to make sure the plant gets runoff. If not I know she’s drinking more and I bump up the time.

Or clean the damn filter.🤣

I’m running at 1 dripper per 1gal bag, so most likely going to have to both up feed times and feed per day?
