OK gonna hijak this for a sec..but I gaurantee nobody reading will mind.
these are the products I use to make my own WaterFarms at a fraction the cost.
**DISCLAIMER **I shop at Discount Hydroponics so I am just using thier site and pics cause it is familair to Me, please use the hydro shop/site you are the most comfortable with, they should all have or can order these products in ( most will have on hand)
1. the Guts
should run ya about 10 $ U.S.
2. The Rezzy ( aka "The 5 gallon Bucket" )
price is anywhere from free - 8$ U.S. (see no need to link to this)
3. The Pot ( 6" shown below, get the 10" it is a perfect fit for the drip rings)
cost 4-5 bucks
4. Whatever medium you want. examples; Hydroton, Higromoite, Synthetic Inserts.
5. an aquarium airpump like this one.
I just get mine at Walmart for about 7 bucks
After that is only drilling one hole at the bottom of the bucket, for the solution level sight, the blue tube in the first pic ( and is optional but suggested)
Cutting out a space for the down spout (the brown tube in first pic ) to go through the net pot into your solution.
Fill with medium and hydro solution, add a plant. Then hook up one air line to the air pump , and walk away.
