Little black flys?

What's with these annoying little flys?

Probably fungus gnats. Super common when you're using peat based potting soil but they can infect coco/hydro grows too. What are you growing in?

Grab a bunch of large yellow sticky traps and place them on the top of the pots.

the larvae love wet soil, the flies love wet and calm conditions to lay eggs..keep it as dry as possible, only water down the stem if possible and only when needed, lots of air blowing, as much as the plants can take, both the dry soil and windy conditions should rid of them within 2 weeks..
probably see new hatchlings daily till they are all dead,
depending you can re transplant with drier soil while removing and throwing out as much if the old soil you can..
here’s a vid of some clones that had gnats,video was for a friend so ignore random chat. using the above i only have a hatchling or two the last couple days. i’ll keep doing the above another 2 weeks to be 100 percent they are all gone.

Fans across the top of the pots to make it hard for them to fly, remove some of the soil from the edges of the pots about 1" that's where they live in damp soil and some sticky tape. Get a hold of it quickly before they get out of control and you'll be fine.

Yellow stickies and mosquito dunks or mosquito bits are the way to go, there's another product I can't think of the name right now but yeah you can use the other two I mentioned they work well together, another way to fight the fungus gnats is increase the air on the floor, good luck

Okay I will :) I am growing in coco and organic perlite.. so I think it is just a little type of gnat but it doesnt seem to have any fungus at all in or around the soil the seedlings all just sprouted. Could easily be that they're just attracted to that soil

This is the product ^ that I couldn't think of (and this is the person that told me about it) LOL I think it's more economical and also easier to use, it's what I'm going to switch to when I finish up these mosquito bits, good luck!

I tried dunks in water pitchers but the first set seemed to work amd the second pack did nothing. I found out the mosquito dunks can be quite old before we get them. Same with bits.
