Hi guys, I’ve been watching my outdoor plants carefully, and I’ve noticed the Blackberry is fading along the edges of top fan leaf. Does that look like I need to back off the Epsom salts for this plant? I have been giving them Epsom salts every feeding. The other two are fine, the Alaskan Purple has recovered from her lack of magnesium and is putting on thick new leaves. The Gopher is thickening and has more than doubled her height. The Gopher is already getting full sun today in her position a little after noon, and by 3:00 pm it is full sun on that side of the deck until dark. I am nervous about bugs. I will be putting some basil out there and maybe roses to lure them from the grow. Not marigolds though. Even I run at the scent of them.

That light striping could be from too much mag. Maybe back off the epsom salts like you said.

Hi guys! On 4/11/20 I put the Blackberry, Alaskan Purple and Chemgopher out on the deck and the Blackberry and Alaskan Purple began to flower immediately, and grow like crazy while Chemgopher grew balls! I was pretty sure that it was the only female in the three. I’ll try again.

Inside the tent, the Blackberry auto is 8 weeks old and ripening up nicely. My White Widow popped out of soil on 4/14 and was put in a 2 gallon on 5/4, the three Double Black x Hyper Glue popped on 4/18 and 4/20 in Ocean Forest Potting soil, which was far too rich for them. Also, the cups I put them in were too small, they need watering daily. Today I transferred them to bigger pots with a mix OF, perlite and Roots. I’ve never had seedlings so sad before. Learned that lesson!

Hi all, I’m having a heat problem in the tiny tent. Since the weather has changed, the tent is running 7 to 8 degrees hotter than my house. This week the temps were in the high 80’s inside the tent and wilted all my plants and almost fried my seedlings. I began leaving the flap open until night, which helped immediately. Yesterday I removed the external soft filter from my filter with the hopes it would perform better (which was like taking a corset off a woman with her clothes still on). Then last night it rained, which changed everything. Today it’s nice and cool inside the tent with good humidity. So, with all that said, there are three flaps on the bottom of the tent on three sides. If I remove the Velcro cover from one of them, it should give it lots of fresh air drawn into the tent. But what about light pollution at lights out? My house is pretty dark in that corner at night , but I don’t want it to wreck my girls. I have a 6” clip fan. Do I need a standing fan on the floor?

I think this was a good beginner tent, but now that I know I love growing, I could probably go with a 3x3 with port holes at the bottom and run a vent hose to the side and not have this problem. Suggestions welcome!

Inside is my trimmed up Blackberry CBD auto that’s almost ready for harvest,
three Double Black x Hyper Glue un-sexed photos, and one female White Widow, about a month old
one female Wedding Cake seedling
two Hyper Cherry Pie photo seedlings

On the deck are the Alaskan Purple and Blackberry OG CBD in their second week of flower, which I worry about the most regarding bugs. Is there an organic systemic drench, like for roses, I can apply to my plants proactively? 👩‍🌾

set an alarm for lights out. close doors to exterior/ambient light sources. if u have a green headlamp/whatever- use it, if necessary.
never, too many fans...
u have a vivo, like me. the sleeves n flaps are all ajar and leak light out; not in, fortunately. after December, with the new fan... unfortunately, we don't always set up our teepees, with maintenance, in mind. considering my laziness as to prefilter washing and can flow reversing, i just took both intake and exhaust filters, off and gave em away to mask makers.
i can clean n disassemble the fan, eventually, but knowing me, will probably, just replace it, when it breaks.
running the a/c, is a pain in the ash. cost, of doing business, for me. running ur house fan, only, will help drop house rh, especially, on rainy days.
u want fried seedlings, or a more comfortable nap temperature...?

you have no right, as a 3rd ish season grower, to have access to such kickass strains, I've either always wanted to grow, or killed, trying to do so.

it may help, if u aren't, already, runnin ur lights, the coldest period of the ... night?
but yeah, i opened the velcros, down side, away from external light sources.

my bad

i meant

leave external light sources, beaming, and peek in the tent, where best able, without purposely letting it in and c if it's dark

make sure to tape over any non green, power strip lights n such, as well.

I've been watching my Blackberry CBD on the deck closely, and need to know if these are just calyx trying to scare me, or if my girl is trying to hermie. Does the browning hair at the end mean she's all girl? There are a few of these in the different joints of the plant. She's about 30" tall now, the other seed I planted from this seed packet ended up being an auto, less than a foot tall. If she's hermie, do I just pinch off as much as I can find and let her grow out? As always, thank you for your guidance.

Doesn't look like a pollen pouch to me it has hairs growing out of it, I think its a calyx. Keep an eye on it, you could just pull them all now to be safe, or wait to see if one opens and then pull them all. It is outside though and not in a tent where contamination would be a REAL issue if one opened, so you have a little leeway to wait and see.

Just look like single female calyx. Balls set on a short stalk.

Happy Memorial Day! I honor all of our vets every day.

In the pup tent are the plants I’ll take to finish inside.

1 Wedding Cake (F), popped soil 5/5/20
2 Hyper Cherry Pie photos, popped soil 5/5/20
1 Black Light x Bubba (F) seedlings
1 BooBa (F) seedlings

I set my house temp to 77 today for the rest of the summer to see if I can get the tent a little cooler inside.

I moved the 3 DB x HG unsexed photos out to grow in the sun. All the plants outside are doing well. I do have some leaf fade on the Blackberry OG CBD, I’m unsure what she wants, but she continues to grow and stack flower. The Alaskan Purple has also started to thicken and stack and is such a pretty color.

And in the front I have a water lily that has put out its first flower. She’s about 5 inches wide. So hard to tell in the photo. Thank you as always for your observations and suggestions!

Hi guys, it’s getting into the 90's here and I’ve been moving my plants around on the deck to offset the heat. I also put them in ceramic pots, which seems to really be keeping their soil cooler. They love the sun if I don’t burn them. 😿

In the back row is White Widow b. 4/14/2020, and Alaskan Purple and Blackberry OG CBD are both in flower day 45. In the front is the only female Double Black X Hyper Glue that made the cut. Born 4/20. So auspicious!

In the little tent is Wedding Cake (F) b. 5/5/20, (2) Hyper Cherry Pie (undetermined) b. 5/5/20, Black Light Bubba (F) b. 5/13/20, and BooBa (F) b. 6/11/20. This is fun! And now I know how people go over their limit. 🤣
