Hello! this is my first microgrow and Im looking to make maybe 2/3 buds from each plant for personal use without growing them too much, inspired by cannabonsai. This grow I was going for speed rather than quantity, so I first put the plants in a 24/0 light schedule for 5 weeks and then switched it to 12/12, when I saw they were not responding to the light schedule I placed them in a dark room for 24 hours and after I took them out I introduced them to an 11/13 schedule. They have been on 12/12 for 2 weeks and 11/13 for 1 week, but they are still not showing signs of sex. My questions were if all these light schedule changes maybe stressed out the plants too much and they would become hermies, and if due to the short veg time they still weren't mature enough to show signs of sex or maybe I was doing something wrong.

At the moment Im using a 600W LED light with veg and flower modes and only using flower mode and FF trio nutrients, I cant really afford anything else and realize maybe the grow conditions were not optimal.

Should have just grown 12/12 from seed.
Well I thought about that but I read this: "The problem is that seedlings can’t start flowering until they’re 3-4 weeks old no matter what light schedule you give them, so there’s no point in starting right at 12/12 when they’re under 3 weeks old. When you give the plant 3-4 weeks of 18/6, THEN switch to 12/12, you will get far better results because the plant will get more light in those crucial first few weeks and end up much bigger by the time it’s ready to make the switch. " from: https://www.growweedeasy.com/is-12-12-from-seed-worth-it . So I thought putting the plants in 24/0 would make them grow faster and get a little more yield with the same amount of time

Your plants still look to be in parallel growth mode...I don't know that plants will flower until they start alternate growth, but I could easily be wrong. The plants look like they could use a lot more light... they are pretty leggy for being under 24 hour lighting, which usually produces short and compact growth... perhaps that is an influence.

How do you know the plants are female?
I dont know, which is why im waiting for them to show sex and so I can remove the males

Ahh I didnt know that was a factor I will look it up thank you, I assumed the plants were leggy because it was the flowering stretch but I might be completely wrong

Not always true. this was 12-12 from seed.

Your plant is beautiful and quite inspiring, how old is that plant from seed?
6 weeks- note the parallel buds. If you want a good yield, don't do 12-12 from seed. This plant was for seeds-I didn't care about yield. She was bred with her father's frozen pollen. I got about 50 seeds on the bottom buds and get to smoke the top.

Young plants will take longer to flower.
They should show after 3 weeks .
Light leaks will slow down flowering.

I had 2 Triple cheese from Barneys farm. ( same peno type )1 was put in 12/12 at 5 weeks.
The second at 8 weeks.

The 5 week one didn't show flower for 3 weeks,
The 8 week one showed flower's in 1 week.
It now looks to have passed out the 5 week veg. plant.
