Hello fellow bud fans,

Ontario Canada here. Wondering if anyone in the GTA area has experience growing outdoors and possibly if anyone reading has any extra established plants looking to sell. I've grown indoors before with good yield and quality and done one batch outside with pretty limited success, didn't do it right in containers and they didn't get enough attention. It's been years and I'm excited to get back into growing buds in sun! Stoked after looking at some of the members here pictures!

I got my hands on a clone but it's a wee thing yet just rooted in rockwool. I've just potted up from the rockwool but I'm thinking maybe it's a bit late for me to get in on this short season? I was going to let it grow a bit under light inside until it gets a bit bigger then put it out. However, the guy who supplied the clone said just to put it in a shady spot for the first 7 days outside. Then gradually give it full sun until she's big enough to take full sun.

Any advice? Anyone in my area that's got something bigger available so I can get in on the season?

Cheers!

Ouch that's a bit steep. But I've never purchased established plants. I do recognize the care it takes to get them to that point. Hope eventually we can get them like regular tomato plants at a nursery. I feel greedy considering it's legal but man that'd be awesome!

Unfortunately with the the gas I don't think I can swing that, especially with the pandemic. I might have to just root for the little lady I got. Thx for the offer though.

hey if i go there soon i’ll let you know, i do have a few things to do there, i usually go a lot but lately no point.
ya $75 for a 3 footer is kinda up there, but it’s healthy and looking good than it’s worth it, a friend has it, well last i heard which was a couple days ago. the dispensaries here sell little clones for $20.00..
i planted a clone on june 14 last year and it finished fine, you’ll be good with the one you got.

Ya going rate for clones. I get it. We're not huge nurseries creating 100s of clones to make a good mark. But for a small grower I'd still like to see it as $5-$10 for little fresh clones, $20 for 1 footers, a really nice established plant at like 1.5 - 2, I'd like to see that at $30 - $40, depending on the strain. But I'm an optimist visionary I'm told.

Dispensary’s in my area sell clones in 1.5” rockwool for $24, with a 35% tax. (And these aren't some backwood places, but some of the largest dispensary in the U.S.) So I’d think $75 isn't close to being out of line. You'd need to be buying 50-100 clones before anyone is selling in the $10 range.

i hear ya, the 3 footer is a friend has it, not in businesses selling clones, where i am we have a ton of indian reservations that sell everything, to me way better than the “legal stores” though some of their stuff is a lie to me, have to be able to tell good from bad, all the clones at the reserves are $20 canadian and are in good condition, i guess once they get to the reserve it all depends on how they care them while they sell slow or fast.
i don’t get clones there,

I just did a quick look on Craigslist and only saw 2 post for clones, no price. For $10 I could get a 2” crawdad, or this

I did see these on Craigslist @$25 each, but you had to buy all 100 of the “runts”. (Look pretty ragged imo.)

Well. I get where you're coming from. But that is purely supply and demand. If we priced cannabis like we do tomatoes it's a whole different ball game. And there's no reason we can't.

Can you imagine the profit they are making on that? Having cloned and nursed Mom's myself, that price for a large dispensary is robbery imo. I get your paying for the genetics. But come on man, maybe for a small grower, but a huge dispensary? Come on man...

The crazy thing about it is the price is going up. A few years back (before it was recreational legal in CA) clones were $12 with just the standard sales tax (9%). And there was a ton to choose from. Now the price is doubled, tax is 35% (county and city tag on a hefty chunk), and there's shit selection. Hardly even see CBD clones. You would think growers would be pumping em out by the millions, but instead everyone went out of business. Granted you see a number of illegal post on Craigslist and other sketch sites, but minimums are 50 or 100. (Makes sense that if your selling on the low down you don't want to do it 3 at a time.)
