My baby has been struggling from day1.
quick set up layout

running a 450 virospectra and a Phlizon 600 in a 3x3
Biobizz light mix (however bottom 1/4 is all mix) in 12ltr pots
I’m on week 3 from seed.

I think it’s nitrogen toxicity this baby has struggled so far but the other 3 are doing great my thoughts were soil is hot but it’s my first grow so don’t really know. You can see the difference from the others
Any help is much appreciated

Also should add after watering yesterday with a ph of 7.5 I checked the ph of the run off and was at 4.5.

Ah ok. should I just flush the soil to try get it down? I’ve not actually added any nutes yet. So unsure why the ph is so acidic?

U can add Dolomite lime as a top dress to raise ph if ur running Organics and watering with a higher ph will also help, flushing could be helpful if those methods don’t work I’d only flush as a last resort it’ll stunt ur girls an slow there growth for a bit.

Ok thanks man, much appreciated hopefully can nurse her to health

your actual ph, is taken of 20% run off so as you mentioned, "getting it down", upup and away, is where you want to grow and Cneal just told ya how. the 4s, is bad news and you'll lockout... I'd like to see a second opinion on whether to flush because that 4, i should think, needs changed, quickly. just my take. i dunno ur medium, like these guys do.

and ur gals are tellin u... u r right, not to b addin food, yet... their colors r askin for nothing...YET.
the symptoms are ph scale, nute based... but lockout of the nutes he, or she wants... is likely the cause, not to mention, acidic effects.

So I came across this and it’s making me think flushing some of the nutrients out of the soil maybe the way forward, although I’m also second guessing myself as I watered with 20% run off maybe have done the job already. As she’s still growing new leaves either way I’ll wait until she drys out before making a decision. The lime is a definite either way to control that ph

Another solution like the lime would be wood ash, I’ve read before it’ll raise ph like lime but if ur ph was 6.5 or higher not to add it because it’ll raise it to much but in your situation it might be beneficial not everyone can go buy a bag of lime so I thought I’d mention it as well. hope everything goes good for you man.

Before you start Chasing Ghosts; Check and recalibrate your meter because chances are it's not the soil that's giving you the low reading

I’m using a liquid ph kit, so I just add the solution to 50ml of water and check the colour against a chart

Okay I use Drops too, but biobizz sells an awful lot of medium, and unless there was something off about the particular bag you are using, if they were selling medium with a pH that low they wouldn't sell much at all;

search 'slurry test' and if you don't have a meter filter the slurry through a coffee filter and then test for pH and PPM to be sure good luck

Edit: biobizz is peat based and shouldn't have an excess of any nutrients right out the bag, including nitrogen and should be ph balanced

@ChaoticNeal just a quick update I took your advice on the lime and pulled her back. Didn’t have to feed her until week 5 then she started loving my hlg 240 and got hungry. So big thanks should be ready to flush in a week or less. At about 70% milky 30% clear. Nearly there 👍
