What’s up y’all. Ran into a bit of a problem. I germinated 2 seeds and planted 7 days ago. For the first two days the growth was explosive. I didn’t have any lights, tent or anything so my plants suffered and stretched. I quickly bought a light and tent and am now wondering if it’s too late? Have my plants ceased to live? I haven’t noticed any growth in the last three days and one seems to be wilting and discoloring. Help!!!
Thank you in advance!!!

My setup: 600w LED light set to 17on/7off at 20” height from soil surface. 36x36x72 grow tent. 6” clip on fan with a gentle rustle on the plants.
The plants: two 5 gallon fabric pots filled with Fox Farm Happy Frog. Gentle watering every other day in a circle around the plant only. After suffering from stretching and falling over I replanted the sprouts into their current containers with the entire sprout planted deeper leaving only about 1” out of the soil.

My initial thought is that you are overwatering, and/or have a PH issue. I recommend buying a ph/light/moisture 3-in-1 gauge for about 20 bucks on Amazon.

What medium did you start in ? I find seeds will pop and then slow or stunt if overwatering or in super soil mixes. I run my water under air bubbler for 24 hours+ to remove chlorine. Water at a PH of 6.5....I'll run 24 hours working my way down to 18/6. Also they pop and then establish roots 1st once the root system establishes then she takes off.

Auto periods plant in final pots

Photos plant in solos and transplant as needed.

Get 3 in 1 soil meter like above.
Get a ph water reader and ph control

Are they autos? Why did you plant the seedling into such a huge pot? That's likely not helping you any.

Youre also overilluminating them.. Raise that light up 10-15 inches and turn it down if you can. It's like trying to put a suit and tie on a baby and send it off to work, it isnt there yet, doesnt need very many nutes or light yet. You have to start low and work up to it. get the temps in the 78-80f range and humidity as close to 70 as you can get it. Even if it means making mini ventilated greenhouses for them.

And give them more water per irrigation. With such big pots I'd be hesitant to wet it all but certainly 500ml-1L until its growing well, then I'd be tempted to soak the whole pot each time.

Thanks for the reply,
They were started in peatmoss, and on Thursday transplanted into their current soil. I quickly cut back on the watering to once every other day after I realized my eagerness was watering them twice daily.
I kinda planted them first and then realized “hey wait you should probably find out what you’re doing” (first time growing anything lol)

Since I have other bigger plants I'll dome mine and like 2x a day I'll fill the dome with humidifier mist from my cool mist since my veg room is running 55% to give it the extra boost in humidity

Have no idea, as they were bagseeds and I don’t have the luxury of knowing what strains. I’ve currently got them stacked on two totes but will definitely drop them to the 30-35” range
Should I water them again? Or just wait until Wednesday to correct the watering technique?

Domes are now under construction! Thank you!

It's a learning curve...if they are seeds found in a stash bag they are prob photos....I would hold of in water just humidity and water very lightly...raise the light they don't need much at that stage.

@ojsbronco Fkn love the name dude! One of the funniest beer names I've heard from a local homebrewer that always has funny beer labels was an NEIPA called "White Bronco", Catchphrase on the label said "The juice is loose!" and had a pic Of OJ speeding down the highway being chased by cops lol.

Btw, I just renamed my platinum cookies White Bronco because of this, thanks!! hahaha

I'd use more water. Id water them once now properly, cover them with a bit of dome like a pop bottle, but cut holes in the sides so it gets some ventilation. Point the clip fan up away from the plants. Make it nice and warm in there too, even as high as 82-85 honestly when they're that young and struggling. Think incubator.
And dont water again for like at least 4 days. Maybe longer, let it dry out quite a bit.

Update:
Wonderful results!!!!!! Y’all are lifesavers. I lost one plant unfortunately she didn’t make it, however the one remaining has seen exponential growth since last post. Domes were placed, small heater was borrowed to raise temp (sits at about 81 with lights on) humidity proved to be tricky, as my brokeboi grow only allows so many funds to be invested (still gotta pay rent and double the electric for these mf’ers) but with a wet towel and washrag I can get RH up to about 79 for a few hours until it slowly starts dropping again when I wake up it’s usually around 55% until I rewet the towels to bring it back up
How does she look? Should I be concerned with the two cotyledons yellowing and dying or is that natural at this stage? Do the fan leaves look healthy? It seems to me that it looks like nutrient burn on the tips, however I haven’t put anything in these plants besides the soil they’re planted in and regular ol’ water. Soil pH is slightly alkaline I estimate somewhere between 7.5-7.9 (meter has small viewing window. Is above 7 but just barely below 8) (next purchase estimated hopefully by next Tuesday will be humidifier and nutrients to control pH)
