Hi everyone,
I have 3 clones, a holy grail and 2 green cracks. They are in 5gal fabric pots outside with organic potting mix, no til. I noticed today the base of some of the leaves are white. Also on some of the leaves there are these yellow splotches on a couple of the leaves. I feed with compost tea once every 2 weeks. I have added some pics of the girls. Has this happened to anyone else?

Well the white spots n bloches look like powdery mildew. I have not seen the yellow like that before but it can be related.

I'd guess that the white stuff is something applied to the leaves. Are you spraying or watering canning your tea directly onto the leaves or apply some other liquid?

Typical AACT don't have a lot of fertilizers (maybe just some kelp, fish, and rock phosphate). The tea is meant to supply the microorganism to help break down your organic amendments/fertilizers. If all you have is tea, without the fertilizers this won't supply the proper nutes. That said, there are a ton of commercial “teas” that are really just fertilizers with some mycorrhiza fungi added or brewers might add bat guano or other fertilizers (which isn't a great idea). So give some more info on what's in your tea.

The yellow new leaves aren't out of the ordinary. Sometimes the new growth can be pale green or even yellow. Normally they'll green right up with a little feeding and sun.

Im not soraying the leaves with anything. The tea i just pour at the base of the stem. My tea is made of local compost (we get free compost from the town) molasses unsulfured, and 1-tblspn of fish fertilizer.

Certainly doesn't look like PM to me, looks like a liquid residue. Does it wash off? PM looks like this image. Are you seeing any larger bugs, like grasshoppers? They would be a lot of pee, but they can leave a similar white residue.

I'd apply a balanced fertilizers as your tea isn't supplying any nutrients.

For a cheap organic control and I do stress control not cure , use 1 lt of milk or 500 ml of plain yogurt, mix with 9 lt ph correct water spray plants in afternoon when heat of day has abated but still warm temp to dry the leaves before Sun down , the PM will start to feed on the milk bacteria and get a bit lazy as it fattens up on the milk not the plant and slows up and runs out of steam and backs off , be vigilant it can raise it ugly head again . Regards Od.

Not positive but it could be gray mold, or botrytis? it's most commonly associated with buds but it can affect any part of a cannabis plant; regardless what type of mold it is my go-to is liquid copper fungicide, you can also spray it with a level tablespoon of baking soda to 1 gallon of water but I found baking soda not really that effective & it has to be applied frequently, good luck

OK, that makes me think it is a mildew/mold (as it won't wipe off). The bitch with mildew is that once it gets a foot hold it can be hard to eradicate. While there are various home remedies, they aren't super effective once you have it. As Beachwalker suggest, cooper is one of the better organic solutions. (Tons of additional info on this site if you search on PM.)

(As a side note, I’m not a big fan of city compost as you have no idea what nasty stuff (like motor oil) people throw in their green bin. And pretty much guaranteed that everyone is throwing all their diseased plants into the city green bin as opposed to using it in their own compost pile.)
