Ideas on how to lower grow room temps. HELP PLEASE

HID definitely runs much hotter. You need to increase the air exchange and/or switch to LED if temp is an issue.

but I have a 4x2 tent with a 4" inline. I'm thinking about upgrading to a 6"and using the 4" on a 2x2 tent I having coming.

another one of my concerns in that if I can't keep the temps down during veg I don't see how I'm gunna drop the temp for late flower...

The heat is only going to get worse if you run a second tent in the room. Does the room have any windows? Maybe you could add a window a/c unit? The cooler the ambient temp in the room is the more effective the fans will be at cooling the tents.

The tent will be in two differant areas of the house(just where I’m able to set them up) and the ambient temp in the house is 75. I have a 6in in-line fan on the way now. I was wondering if running ducting (for the intake) closer to win air vent(where the a/c is pumping air out).

What intake ducting? The tent vents are the intakes. Running the exhaust to an a/c return vent could help if the room is typically over the 75f you have your system set to.

You would have cold air directly to the tent which would be nice but the increase in the ambient room temp from no longer having a/c air would likely offset any improvements. All you can really do at this point without changing your lamp is to increase the airflow so there is less of a difference in temps inside and out of the tent or further reduce the ambient temp in your home with a/c until the tent is in the correct range. Only other thing I can think of would be to wire up an extension so the cmh ballast sits outside the tent but I don't know how feasible that is with your fixture.

I tried everything Added Exhaust Fans adding fans etc etc had enough negative pressure to bend the tent lol added forced air into the tent....unfortunately my lights run too hot (led)..only options were a Portable AC directly in the tent and to switch my lights on/off to match the house AC better...for me now I sit at 23° lights on.

There is your problem. Move it to canopy level in the shade. A couple inches from the wall is fine. Tape something to the wall to shade it if you have to. Then let us know the temperature.

How are you supposed to know the canopy temp under the lights if you move the sensor to the side or shade?

Mine hang just off center under each lamp at 18” below the glass. They are white plastic with white plastic sensors.

Even though ballast stays much cooler than the bulb it is likely the second hottest thing in the tent and still contributing to the high temps. Having it attached directly to the shade/fixture will also insulate or trap more of the heat around the bulb which will make it harder to cool.
