Hey there I am growing for the first time and wondered if I should flip soon or if I have enough vertical space to keep it in veg a little longer. The floor to the bottom of the cmh / led lights is 80". So I estimate if I leave room for 18" below that to the top of the plant, I can have them be 62" from floor to apex.

The tallest plant is currently 15" tall from the soil to the the highest point of the plant. The pot itself is 10.5" from floor to top of dirt. They are 7 gallon smart pots. The light they are vegging under is 225 true watts HLG and the other light is a 315 cmh with 3100 phillips bulb. I would prefer to veg a bit longer if I have enough vertical space for the stretch.

The strain is Mazar. They were two different seeds from the same bud I happened to find. I have bought this same strain many times and never found a seed. They are both female. The third smaller plant growing is a clone I cut from the fastest growing plant when I topped it. I have been doing a lot of LST to keep them even and short. Just looking for any advice.

Nice work!

Keep in mind that indoor lighting (not with tons of lamps like a warehouse commercial grow but a light or two) will only penetrate a few feet down through the canopy.

I keep my plants under 3 feet tall by bending, pinching and bending (supercropping) and or topping.

That way the lower buds develop properly instead of getting what is called larf. Loose fluffy buds.

The other way if you have height space is to lollipop the plants. Cut all the branches off below the top 3 feet or so.

Either way works. But trying to flower a 5’ tall plant will definitely leave underdeveloped lowers.

I would flower yours when the leaves touch the other plants. They will likely double even tripple in size. Not just height.

Again. Great job so far!
