Hello everyone,

I have made several small amounts of RSO, cooking the alcohol off quickly in a Pyrex measuring cup, placed inside a small CrockPot, filled with a little water to separate the measuring cup from the CrockPot.

I made a much larger amount this time, and decided to let the alcohol evaporate naturally. This has greatly reduced the fumes and fire risk, and I’m not on any strict time schedule.

I moved the mixture to a large, rectangular Pyrex container to maximize surface area, which speeds up evaporation.

After about 1/3 of the alcohol evaporated, around 12 hours in, I noticed very faint geometric formations on the surface. (See image).

Do you know what this is? It appears to be a crystalline structure, but also has the appearance of microscopic organisms.

Thanks!

Was the weed decarbed? Thca is the diamond crystals, it’s how I make my diamonds plus a few other things.

I did decarb it. Maybe some THCA made it through, and that’s what I’m seeing. The crystals aren’t growing at all.

Do you smoke or vape the diamonds?

I’m definitely intrigued, Jack.
