Quick question. I found a great source for water at only $1.75 for 5 gallons. pH is steady at 6.1 and the ppm is 27 never lower, never higher. My question is, is this considered RO water? If not, what do you think that 27ppm consist of? Salts? Cal mag?I used this water mixed with tap my whole last grow with no signs of stress. Here’s their process,

I would assume since it reads 27ppm im
Good to go? Is it ro or no. Does RO have a starting ppm of 0? Thanks OD
Oh revers osmosis water not sure mate it’s probably distilled water . But let’s hear from some of the crew I’m up for some good schooling .

Actually I did some research. It states anything under 20ppm is considered RO. So my question is, if their process is pretty much the same as RO water, what’s the extra 7ppm not making it RO. Or am I over thinking it. Haha

It’s pretty close, I use Ro/di water. My PH is 7 with 0 ppm. I’m assuming you’ll be using it for your grow. I think you’ll be fine...

from the picture, yes, I assume it doesn’t go below 100. You’d need an ec/tds meter to read lower probably. Mine reads at 27ppm

Yes and I used it for
Last grow with no issues. Was just curious because of the great price point compared to RO water from another source.

Its 5 stage ro water. The 27 ppm could never hurt anything. The water is even uvc sterilized. Could be sodium though from the softening stage? But again 27 parts per million is very low.

Is your tap water real hard? I forget.

Yes. Reads from 100ppm and rounds off higher solutions. I have one. Its going strong for 6 years now. I clean the contacts with a little bar keepers friend (no perfume soft soap works too) every couple weeks or if it starts to read low is an indicator it is dirty.

I love the thing. I mix all my stuff with it.

Yeah 350/ 8.1pH. I mixed about
1:4 tap/ro last grow every watering and the plants seemed to like it. The RO is cheap for me to source, right around the corner from my house and it’s a helluva lot cheaper than say RO from a hydro shop @ like $1 a gallon. No thanks.

Nice brotha. I’m glad it worked for you. I’d rather not take the chance ruining my hard work. It’s readily available for me so why not? 😃 I grow for patients so I am not going to use dirty ol rotten rain water. Happy grows.
