Hey everyone so today i went to check on my grow and 2 of my girls are drooping a lot. It has been 100-110 degrees where I’m living so i started to heavy water the plants so they don’t dry out too much. Is this because it’s too hot for the plants or because I’ve been watering too much?

I should also say the soil is currently really dry even though they were watered this morning

I’ve came to the conclusion they are under watered 😂 so i watered them and the plant in the first picture almost immediately perked up. But the leaves then got straight and started to bend up and twisting. Idk what’s going on I’m just going to closely monitor them. If anyone has any info please let me know

Just a guess but your soil is compacted so the water doesn’t soak in. Try aerating with a long spike like a tire iron.

Okay i will definitely try that tomorrow. Do you think since it’s been so hot that the water just evaporates quickly as well?

I set up a couple the same way, foxfarms with extra perlite In 5 gal growbags. Still set up like concrete. Water runs through, out the sides and bottom, checked with a probe meter and the center still read dry until i poked a few holes with the probe.

Update she has bounced back and is growing like crazy now!! She’s almost 6 feet tall. Thank you all for the help! The soil was really compacted and putting the holes in it helped a lot.
