Growing in Virginia and wondering when I should expect my plants to flower.

As the light decreases from summer to autumn time, the plants will start to flower. Once the plants figure out daylight is getting shorter each day they start to flower.

Someone that I follow on YouTube that lives about an hour away his plants are and have been flowering. That’s my concern. I know genetics play a factor too but still

How long have your plants been growing? When did they get placed outdoors in natural sunlight?
Find a reason to make your situation fit my scenario. Were they getting just a little light indoors or in a corner, and then got moved to a spot that gets more sun? That might confuse plants into vegging a bit longer. Not a whole lot to do but wait. Best of luck.

Been growing since mid April. Don’t remember the exact day they were moved outside but sometime in May. They were in solo cups and I’d move them inside at night.

It's strain dependent. What strain are you growing? If it hasn't triggered yet, and based in appearance, I'm wondering if it's a late flowering sativa.

I ran lemon skunk two seasons ago. I had three plants. One favored the afgan side, and finished end of Oct. But two favored the south American side, and died around the end of nov/begin December. Neither one started flowering.

You should probably stake those plants too btw..
They seem a bit lanky.. dont want the buds snapping off .. then you get 0 bud lol..

If nothing happens in the next little while, I've heard of a technique called girdling. It slowly kills the plant, so you can harvest her sooner.
This is how they got the Acapulco gold color. It dies and partly dries outside. The outdoor dry makes the gold color.

There’s a light that we keep on at night in the back. Didn’t even think that could be an issue. Definitely turning it off tonight to see if that helps anything

Its the darkness that triggers the flip. Anything brighter than a 100 w incandescent bulb will keep them in veg mode. I have one that hasn’t flowered and i’m sure its because she got over the fence where the streetlight shines.

The smart thing would be take a bunch of clones but i don’t really need them. I considered chopping the top off but i’m probably just going to wait and see. She’s the one in the middle, you can see the plants on either side are a couple weeks into flower. The led streetlight on the pole is about fifty feet away and probably just enough to keep her growth tips in veg.

After looking into the issue I was thinking about cutting mine too but first going to cut the light off out back and see what happens after a week

Call me crazy, but can you make a blocker from your roof, that blocks that street light? Like a 2x2 post comin off the roof and a piece of plywood on the end big enough to block that light.
