Hi guys I’m new to the site I just finished a harvest on a small one gallon indica that produced a little under an ounce. I’m onto my second plant which is a sativa. I noticed on my previous grow I didn’t see insane frosting even with 36 hours of lights off before harvest. This new sativa is probably in week 2 or 3 of flower and I’m not seeing any resin trichomes and I’m just sort of left scratching my head. For this grow I’m only using an sp150 LED full spectrum, and for my last grow I used both the SP150 LED and a 150w hps light. These are bag seed but my plants outdoors have insane resin and trichome production but I don’t seem to be able to achieve this inside a tent. The tent is left open and the temp never goes above 79 degrees

Here are some photos of my first harvest . I even split the stock but with the HPS the temps were always in the low to mid 80’s. I did leave the tent open to help get some co2 in there. The grow lasted about 9 weeks when I noticed the leaves were getting completely depleted and the red hairs were abundant. It’s possible I just didn’t feed the plant enough nutes towards the end but because the buds got so massive I didn’t thing anything was out of the ordinary. Ps used bag seed in both cases

Agree it's mostly genetics, but there is significant evidence to suggest exposure to UVB contributes. https://www.amazon.com/Exo-Terra-ReptiGlo-10-0-watts/dp/B00101GDIG is what I use. Four hours per day in the middle of the day at around 10 inches in the last month or so of flower. I have not been scientific about it, but anecdotally I think it helps.

Here is a link about it and a whole bunch of other stuff.

Thanks for the link. I've been thinking about adding uv.

If the genetics are getting good resin production outdoors, you might just not have enough light intensity in your tent.

How long have the outdoor been flowering? Btw the plant look like it's got a bit too much N.

Hi outdoor plants have been vegging since April, but went into the ground around June. They flipped about a month ago and a half ago. Hope that helps.

You won’t see trichomes that early in flowering. I’m outdoor so limited in what I can do but I think proper temps and great sunlight exposure is what pushes my trichomes. 85 f is great,105f, not so much, lol.
Local Forest fires generated co2 and covered the 105* sun with a smoke layer, lowering temps.
Seemed like fog until we inhaled😒

Agreed I’ve got ash all over the buds😫, but resin shot up and bud size as well. I’m coughing my butt off but at least the plants responded well minus the ash layer. Maybe indoor growing is just not my thing. I’ll keep trying though
