Laminated plyboard works awesome.. ive used it to build my whole room.screwed it to frame then used bathroon white waterproof caulking for corners and joins.i have magnetic latches that help keep the door shut and used 2-4 mmm soft rubber door draught seals.only thing wrong with my room i should have made it bigger lol..

you used this instead of durafoam?

for the door, door frame, I need a piece wood to mount drivers and controllers on, and a few other spots I could see using it instead of plywood but durafoam with the roofing style screw with the 1inch ring build it I see as the fastest way to get it up.

I can see/image it’s a lot quicker than a lot of other stuff and probably a good bit stronger than the insulation board.

i was going to buy 2 pieces of drywall and 1 of 1/8 plywood for roof and outer wall but I think the laminated stuff would work well for these 2 spots. Give more strength to ceiling and doorway + door

the magnets are a great idea

Yes ..its actually chipboard .. i just went with what the old guys in my area mentioned to use.i actually built a room 2.4mtrs x 3mtrs insulated that and used half of that space for veg and flower room .i just screwd the laminate straight to the walls.my veg is beside the grow room and i can slide the wall between them if i need to to grow a few more.i def agree the durafoam would b waay quicker. I think i spent 600 bucks on the laminate and another 800 odd to build the room ..bloody costly but worth it.

If I get durafoam, 2 pieces each 1/8 ply n laminated board for strength n spots close to heat is there any point in a vapor barrier (6 mil plastic)

going to frame it w 2x3, 24 inch spacing and sister the 2x3 in the corners and doorway.

all drivers outside n other items. Just need strength for ceiling and wall with doorway.

Imo not if its sealed at all the joints. The 1/8 is a good idea incase you all stoned and fall through a wall lol

I don’t plan on a sealed room. I get my hand held still.

I just ment that if the corners aren't sealed then the wood will be exposed to the moisture.

I kinda figured. I was talking more sealed room n co2

But love to fuk around n joke n bs

last, should I paint the floor so I don’t get the moisture from the concrete??

but at the same time I’ll have a 50 pint for roughly a 4x8x8.....so i don’t see it as big of an issue

Depends how old it is but it wouldn't hurt to seal it.

It will be sealed up. I’m going to use the tape in the corners and cracks like you did before in the pictures you post

I’m going to have a vented with fresh air

I want to put dehumidifier on left corner mounedt on shelving brackets

and right inner corner, (where pic is looking dead ahead of it) hang ac setup.....

how?? My hvac guy is busy n tough to get soon. I want to move my vegging 3 in a week or less.

the 20x10 won’t hurt my floor space that bad but will probably result in being right up next to a plant which isn’t desirable either

my buddies solution.....mini split but i have lots to work with now have to make some sort of cover so it doesn’t scream grow garage too. (Wife)

Ideas??

I’m not a builder but fuk.....never imagined I’d need 3 boxes of 100 screws

I’m waiting on my electric to be moved and where I want my outlets will be.

my buddy is going to lend me a 5 gallon bucket dwc setup as well. I think I’m doing just 2 plants.

they will have 38x42 inches each w a 8ft ceiling. Plan to make up 2, 3 panel setups of qb132 on 185 watt drivers and my qb96 in the middle. (185w driver

I already have one 3 panel setup made.

You in canada bro? I have a 4 site RDWC I no longer use. Could measure it up for ya if so

Chicago

my buddy had to rid a few setups he had going and I’m getting some good pieces and will be in biz

being in on a budget, should I ante up for the square 8 gal buckets or ride regular 5 gals n try to make sure they seal up ?

U think I should do 2 or 3 pots?
