Hello,

I am looking for thebest and most cost effective solution to growing clones on a bakers rack. It can hold a humidity dome which holds 18 squares/plants. And I am looking at 2-3 trays . I’ve come across these on Amazon.ca and I wonder if anyone can recommend a light.

cheers

Just a t5 florescent is enough white and blue light for clones. LEDs are stronger but will work.

Hey Dub and 4plant.
Can I get away with using this full spectrum after they are rooted? Or is that not enough power? If it is how would I get the accustomed to a 600watt hps? I have had a couple of clones freak out occasionally due to the light (they were fully rooted)

I remember discussing after the clones are made to make them 2-3 feet tall.

These seedlings and clones are under these inserts.
I’ve been running these in veg for a few years now

Agree. Even the 2 footers veg nice big leaved stout plants for me up to 6 weeks from seed.

and then i start the 12-15 inch plants under 600 hps at about 30 inches away and slowly acclimate them moving closer an inch or two at a time as they seem happy.

The T5’s can get you through veg until a canopy gets too dense to penetrate. When you put them under the 600 just keep it as far away as possible and lower it a few inches every few days.
6500k or full spectrum will do great. I move them from 6500k to 2700k cmh

Damn! And that’s at only 40 watts a light? I looked at the link and they were out of stock. I might be able to find a different Canadian supplier.

How tall are those girls? That is super ideal for electric cost wow

Epic, I was pulling what hair I have out of my head left saying there is no way I am dropping 200-250 a month on electric and I am barely getting anything back. Really wattage only matters for flower right? For the most part anyways?

If your anywhere near Brantford Ontario there a guy selling a ton of T5’s and 400watt induction lights cheap, he swears the inductions will blow any other veg light away.

Yeah the LEDsubstitute T5 tubes are absolutely bomb!!! Super bright , high penetration and sooooo energy efficient!!!
The LED tube fits also the old fixtures but connects it only on mains so you gotta rig it and take the little ballast off the fixture....

So, Ontario just went into a state of emergency and so did I worried about not getting lighting for the clones lmao.

I bought these off of Amazon. Lm301b 4 lights for $52 CAD (24wX4) I thought this would get my feet wet since I am looking at purchasing from kingbrite 100w board for vegging the mothers and clones and (480wX2) for my 7X7 space. I particularly like the UV feature as I think it will really drop out some amazing trichs and flavours with it being an organic grow.

Random question, Do I need that much power when flowering 20-30 clones? I am currently running a 600watt hps for flower so I am wondering if that 480watt is equivalent.

Just trying to be as cost effective as possible when it comes to electricity. I was running 1000w metal halide and had a $250 electric bill and my veg results were garbage and I was getting no results.

I think I can get the same veg results with a lower wattage light. Still figuring shit out 🧐😒
