Is this light burn or some sort of deficiency?

Hi guys,

I cant tell if this is light burn or some sort of nute deficiency? I just switched the light cycle to 12-12 and replaced the MH Bulbs with HPS Bulbs. But the yellowing of the leaves were there even before i switched the cycle or the bulbs. Any advice people?

you need a hydro guy, this is some real science stuff you got.. I don't have an answer, if I had to guess I would say something with the PH of the water in this veg stage, I think hydro gets a lower ph idk, but I would think about how the micronutrients are absorbing as well as the primary nutes depending on where exactly the water ph has been these past few days? just my noob guess??

Ph has been between 5.9 and 6.3. First week of flowering just finished. Ppm at 930. Using AN grandmaster line. 22 plants under 4 600 W hps.

Recirculating hydro application? What type of hydro system and what's the footprint of the room?

If it's a dtw you can check runoff ppm levels and ph to ensure proper levels. Recirculating is a different beast tho, looks like what you're running.

Nutes lineup?

You're lights are close to the canopy, normally 3' off canopy for 600w hps like an eye hortilux super hps 600w. Your air cooling so that will help reduce temps allowing the reflector to be positioned closer but you can still get light burn, especially with hps since they run hotter than mh due to the heavy red spectrum (produces more heat). Enviro. and co2 can aid with heat and light stress o

I found some of these things online. The PH chart I think may be ideal for cannabis, but I would guess depending on the genes the plant is gonna do what it feels.. They say some of the OG's and indica types out there may require a couple shots of cal-mag as a booster to get them going.

How much more do you suppose I raise my lights?

Honestly it may not be the lights, you're air cooling the hood for heat and the glass lens alone can block up to 15% light output. It looks like you're overlapping ar certain points (lights emission merge from close reflectors which is ideal for certain applications depending on desired ppfd at canopy).

What's your par levels at the canopy and are they balanced (meaning close measurements across the entire canopy, no excessive hot spots in terms of par intensity). You're plants look healthy otherwise.

Is the low and middle portion of the plants getting affected or only the tops and areas with higher light?

I raised the lights significantly. About 12 days into flowering. Pistils have shown up in most (some in 2 days) but a couple haven't. Is it normal to be that much later than the rest of them? Did a reservoir change as well. Extremely bushy plants and tall as well. I've attached photographs. Can someone please give me some defoliation tips for my current state? It's a mad house! Not sure what to clip.
