Hi everyone
I’ve been mixing my coco coir I added some cal mag and perlite.I put a lil worm castings for growth bat guano and bone meal for phosphate . I mixed it about 3-4 times then I let it sit.
So after buffering 2-4 times can I let it sit until I transplant??
Please help!!
my plants look healthy but I’m not sure they will okay for flowering.

Well I know that there’s perlite in the coco but I understand those other nutrients like the bone meal and worm castings are good for those macro nutrients, such as nitrogen and phosphorus. Really I’m a newbie and I’m trying anything. I’m using fox farm big bloom and grow big and I’m only watering ever 3 days or whenever I see the top of the medium dry. The coco does the job so it’s probably no need to add what I am but trial and error. I haven’t gone wrong since I started and this is my 3rd grow. I believe if you pay attention to any deficiencies and ensure your plants are getting the correct amount of nutrients and ph your water, your plants are gonna grow regardless. Hope this helps.

Sounds like you are borderline soil growing. Personally I would try to get some peat moss to cut with the coco to build a nice tilth and to bring the pH down but it sounds like you got a good plan.

Okay good deal. So when you say tilth that means combine and mix some peat moss before I transplant? Also, should I keep my coco wet or can it stay moist until I’m ready to move my plants? I’m in week 3 I think (passed seedling stage) so it shouldn’t be too much longer. Thanks for the comments!

Once you add biology to coco via the castings, you essentially are growing in soil and the microbes will breakdown the coco. Personally, I would stash some coco by itself to the side for the first week of seedling stage then introduce the roots to biology. It can overwhelm a small seedling quick.

If this is inside it may stink for a week or two and offgas bad stuff like ammonia

So now that I have my seedlings in their coco (just the medium) I possibly add some peat moss as well then maybe rinse the medium one last time but I transplant. Obvi, I’m not ready to transplant but I should probably start topping correct?

What type of coco coir are you using? I used to use the fiber time but I found after a while it didn't seem to hold as much water or air as I thought should and kept getting finer and finer which in my opinion is actually destroying a very fabric of the medium by making it to fine so I had to switch to Coco chips Chucky don't break down quickly whole lots of air and retain water quite well.. But I'm not sure why you're letting it sit as you say? I have been mixing Happy Frog soil 50/50 with Coco chips originally I was doing 1/3 teaspoons of heavy soil to wind scoop of Coco fiber but it wasn't draining as quickly as I wanted so I did a little research and found out it's a 50-50 mix is just fine after all no matter how much soil potting mix whatever your girls are going to suck all the nutrients out of it anyway that's why you're going to be adding your own nutrients so I'm able to stretch my Happy Frog complete blend potting mix a little further oh, happy frog has everything in it but I do ad a little bit of worm casting and bat guano... when you're living on an old man fixed income as I am every ounce counts but as for letting it sit for a transplant or anything like that I see no reason but don't misunderstand me if you have heard or feel better about letting your amended Coco coir or buffered Coco coir as you call it dash – – sit and meditate or stew itself together by all means take the time and make your beef stew ! Time isn't a commodity that I can't afford to waste a my age I might be here today and gone tomorrow but I just mix the stuff together and then either transplant or plant I don't make stew he does that on it's own while the plant is growing! But it's somebody from here tells you make stew do it I'm not trying to tell you to do anything you don't want to do! but remember Coco coir in any form is going to lock up some of your nutrients I can't tell you which ones off the top of my head but it will prevent some of them from getting through as easily I use it mainly for water retention and a i r but I also use grow bags I need as much water retention as I can hang on to and air is always good also please remember you don't have to listen to anything I say I could just be an old man living in his basement and rambling on and on and on use your own judgment take everything you hear tow it into a bucket and then do your homework investigate investigate I know that sounds like... Well why the hell did I come here and ask questions then? I thought I was doing my homework and my investigation , well no matter what you hear you she still check it out further if you can, or just do what you're told it's your choice

Oh yeah that's right I forgot to tell you if you're going to be making coyote stew I believe you are leaving out one very important ingredient which is used as a catalyst for your microbes in I believe almost every soil blend yes the soil skewers that use microbes also use non sulfated blackstrap molasses as food for the Little boogers I don't know if they use Blackstrap but they do use unsulfured molasses I use Blackstrap from House of herbs which is also non-GMO and suitable for vegans

But I must say at least you are getting some type of answers for your questions here dash – – I'm beginning to think I'm like poison ivy or something because I asked questions but still have two work on the Fly without answers so even if you're getting wrong answers you're getting something LOL you're doing a hell of a lot better than I am I think my problem is I just don't know where to post my questions so they sit in a dark Dusty corner somewhere in collecting cobwebs and growing mushrooms good luck to you man but cultivating in a little bit more than mop that's for sure if anybody tries to tell you there's no work involved go ahead and shove a hot poker up their ass and watch them do the dance of knowledge oh yeah- - - Vance can't dance but he'll steal yo money, Vance can't dance but he'll steal yo money , watch him boy , or he'll Steel you blind – – that that that that's a wrap

Well here she goes she was a hard case and didn't want to go anywhere until I gave her a hat little did she know I just pointed that hat is actually her brand new pair of underwear she'll figure it out here in a few minutes when I force her out of the ones she's wearing that is just too small for her to continue on her very short Journey... well if you think life is short and yes it is a very short but imagine if you were her and nobody made a clone of you💥💨💀

If you feed with nutes, then you should not be adding anything to the soil. It will double up on things and cause lockouts of other nutes.
If you feed totally organic, then you can use a good soil and add "Fish Sh!T" and Recharge. That's ALL you really need. More is overkill.

And there you go everything in a nutshell I have never even heard of recharged but I think other stuff you called fish shit comes out of a fish's ass , – – – biology 101 so I hope you got your fishing gear ready and you're not far from the lake or stream oh, I guess you could go to your local neighborhood fish and aquarium store if you think it would be easier just remember you don't have to kill the fish you just have to milk them for their poop so I'm not sure how long it takes them to digest their food after eating their dinner and then go 2 take a big old nasty crap but you better be prepared oh, I'm not sure how you do that you might need some kind suction tube that somehow hooks to a aquatic pooper scooper- - just don't suck too hard you don't want to suck the poor little fishes guts out and you certainly don't want to swallow it- - but I hope you're out there collecting this valuable information don't try to remember it do a screenshot a picture is worth a thousand words I have a picture right here! And I guess when I read about it grow bags and the fact that you can't get rootbound must have had some truth to it because I certainly or at least it doesn't look like Ringo is root bound at all ... that's very good news although it does bring up a few other confusing questions except for the fact that you can't get rootbound but you can run out of room and I believe that's what has happened here I believe certain size pots can only handle a certain amount of root mass regardless of becoming root bound what do you think there Comfortably Numb? Your opinion would mean a lot to so I am respectfully asking you for it I really wasn't sure what I was going to find when I removed her clothes at the moment unless you have something not so good to say I'm smiling 😊😀 I am smiling from ear-to-ear😌

The plant looks really good. I would add mycorrhizae fungus next time to give you more roots.

Thank you for the suggestion I'll have to go and get some mechanized fungus and now I'm down to 2% again thank you:-) and now at least I have a new look on air pruning and grow bags along with not getting root bound due to air pruning The Roots:-) :-) :-) I knew about airplane but I didn't know about it stopping rootbound
