Hey Farmers,

I didnt know where to post this, either here or the infirmary, although the plants arent sick, I just need some advice from fellow Chem fans, and people that know the Chem-D cut.

Ive had this cut for a min, although not flowered, yet. I am making a mother, and saw a few threads, where she is perfectly green, no red stems, no bleaching at the tips etc. you know dialed in, per se.

So in that, ive been toying around with her N levels and the correct feedings. Swerve says shes high in N like the OG's and the rest of the Chem family.

When I see the red stems, typically it means I need to up the calmag, but with this plant when I do so, I see burning around the edges of new growth, obvious nute burn.

SO! Now my question...below I have pics of her like a month and a half vegged. My temps are a bit on the low side, 69-72 right now in the winter...But besides the red stems, she is growing fine..crazy branching, fast growth, reacts great to topping...but cant rid these stems.

To all you who know this plant, do you think it is simply a temp issue? Or am I just trippin', Id like to really get familiar with this plant and run it as smoothly as I am her relative the Giesel, which I also have pics attched..

Lemmie know what you guys think...thank you!

First 3 pics is the D and followed by the Giesel.

Whats up bro looks like they could use a little more nitrogen.

Sorry bro the first 2 look fine the 3rd looks like it could use some nitrogen.

Your nutrient levels are fine. Chemdog #4 and Chemdog D like a lot of root space when they're healthy. Transplant and your red stems will go away

ding ding ding :party0023:

they look incredibly healthy to me my friend....I wouldn't worry about upping your N as she looks like she's 'right there' and just a little too much could cause a different world of problems........she looks great!

Mmmmmhmmmmmmm..........that giesel is FIRE.....she is quickly becoming one of my favorites...tastes better than the original sour and much better potency imo..........ganj on!!!

I just looked at my Chemdog D moms and found that my younger moms were showing the "red/pink" colors in their leaf stems, but my older moma's that had been cut from many times and had grown out don't show reds in their stems.

So I think it is fine. DJ Short mentions (in his book) that some strains normally show that red leaf stem thing like his Blueberry line.

Hmm true that. Thanks for the reply's guys, much appreciated. So you guys dont think that this is attributed at all with my low temps?

I just transplanted it right there in the pic and its growing and drinking a ton! So thats a good thing, adequate root space seems like a necessity she requires.

BF thanks for the heads up on the Giesel, its my first run with both here soon, and ready to see why everyone raves about the D. Cant beleive it alluded me this long actually. And the Giesel is just a great plant, hasnt given me any shit since ive had it..pretty carefree, which is kinda hard to find in a real Elite cut, most are rather finicky or require special attn.

Thanks again for all the help!

RF

red stocks and stems are very common in certain strains when the temp dis below 70

I've noticed the Chemdog 4 and D like it on the cooler side. They just need a lot of root space like I mentioned before.
