Chocolate Mint female clone 1st grow

My first grow using soil. Starting a fresh clone in some Foxfarm Ocean Forest. Using a five gallon aero pot, 300w full spectrum led light with built in cooling, intake and exhaust fans, and just got a net trellis for a possible Scog. 18/6 right now...

Gonna be fun to learn how to lst and maximize this yield! After some research, it seems that this strain has a possible yield of 400-600 grams from one plant. I’ll be thankful for 200 even! So excited 👍🏽

You might want to top it soon.
Yes, thank you. This is exactly why I joined. Can I top and bend over the main stem, or is it one or the other? I really want to keep this short and bushy, and get as many colas as possible. My last grow I only pruned without topping or any lst at all, as it was my first grow.

Then top it. Two branches will grow from that, and those are the branches to tie down. Once you get a couple nodes on the new branches, top again.

When I top, I keep the cuts, dip them in cloning powder, then stick them in new pots. You can never have too much weed :)

Perfect! Thanks again!

So after talking with some local growers in my area, I decided to bend her to a nice “n” and tie down. Once she goes a bit more I will top that and bend again.

As you can see in the red circles, I got rid of the fan leaves.

Looking good after day two of the bend.

This thing is growing so big and strong! Did a lot of trimming and bending. Scrog will go in soon!
