How’s the terps? Skunky?
When growing it smelled like kerosene and pine trees but the taste reminded me of the skunk I used to smoke. I didn't smoke much of it cause it's really potent. I have to build up my tolerance so I'm smoking the purple kush and white widow auto.

In the pics of the growing plants I can see it’s spitting off some new foxtail pistils. I was always taught that a bud isn’t ripe until 100% of the white pistils had turned and receded…..so I always wait until then.
But recently the plant had the strongest aromas and were the stickiest while some of those foxtail pistils were still white…..
I waited and waited and on one grow waited over a month before finally chopping. By then the terps were history and the buds were dry and bland smelling.
What gives?? Did you harvest while the buds still had white pistils??

There is more to knowing when a plant is ready then pistils.
Trichomes tell the tale and some plants will keep growing past the peak we all wait for .
I've been accused of chopping plants early. Only by those who have not smoked it though? 🤔
Last crop got chopped at 8 weeks in flower and the clones from them may also !

Yep. The leaves changed color. The trichromes were 50/50. She'll keep throwing pistils out trying desperately to get male pollen up until she dies. I understand the white pistils that are there turn brown or orange after some time after chopping.

Also I trimmed the foxtails on top off. From what I've read they do same thing when growing for dispensaries.
