Oh now that I can see the whole plant, they aren't doing too bad... They are well on the road to recovery. They should start taking off soon.

Good job!

They may be a little underfed....last week they were fed 20ml per gallon of grow, and 15ml per gallon of cal-mag....i will be changing all the water tommorrow and ill feed them 30ml per gallon grow with 15ml per gallon cal-mag....they all finnaly have roots hanging down in the res's....in the last 4 days they all sprung roots...

I was going to update with new pics but my battery went dead so ill pust up some pics tommorrow....but in the mean time can anyone tell me what may be causeing the black spots on some of my leafs....seems like maybe 3 out of 6 have them......

fyi....yes my grow room is getto but its a work in progress....i built this room over a 3 month time span on about a $40 a week budget.....for less then $500, including buying the light off craigs list ($200...included 2 new hps bulbs)......hope to have mylar up soon, right after I buy a ph meter and ppm meter.......

Dazed..when I started out I was growing in 2 ltr bottles with miracle grow under CFL's...lol I just got a few things here and ther as I could. Built my chamber just last year and reworked it this summer. The more you grow the better you will get and you just keep adding stuff..I tell you smoking pot is not adictive but growing is!!! lol

So a little update, well these winter storms knocked my power out for a day and a half, and I have no genny....so the roots sat in the water for about 14 hours with no bubbler, so once i could get to my plants I drained the water and they sat with their roots in no water for the next 14 or so hours.... the power went out about 3 hours in there light cycle and stayed off for about 30 hours.....

once I got power back I gave them new water with new nutes, the water was 50 degree's when I put it in there res's...its been about 24 hours since and water is at 60 now....

I have to say the power outage didnt seem to effect the plants at all...even there roots being submerged with no bubbler for 14 hours, then empty for another 14 or so hours....plus the grow room temps hit the low 40's during the outage......

Also I did alot of LST style training (actually not sure what I am doing...) mainly just tied there main stem over some, an usedties to pull new stems out where they could get more light and from what I can tell it seems to be working......ill take some new pics tonight and post up.....they are little bushy things....

OK, so here are the newest pics taken 01-23-10.....so its been 19 days since I started veggin them...I have made an attempt at LST and even fim'd a few to see how it works.....any advice about if im messin them up stringing them out like this....

I plan to veg for maybe 2 more weeks.....

so far by tieing them down I have been able to keep them all between 12-14 inches tall....if I hadnt trained them all a few would be at 2'.....I am just trying to keep all a level conopy so all the shoots from whatever part of the plant they are from are the same height....seems to be working.....

Hay Dazed..looks like you have some nice new groth there and everyoen is gonna recover. How long till flower? Keep it real!

so I saw a pistol? Guess I missed when it went into flower..How long has it been?

Hey Jans....I am still in veg...was going to veg a few more weeks....Do you think they are ready now?

also, if you have a minute I think my plants may have root rot...here is a link to where I posted about it....I do apricate all your help....

are they not supposed to show pistols i they are still in veg?

LOL...thanks velvet...I appricate your help....I know the difference, im just dicks-leck-sick (sp?) and a terrible speller....i am in veg.....I always call vegin flowering and flowrin vegin unless i stop and think before I talk or type...LOL...thanks again for the help....

Velvet has soom good advice..I saw a pistil or so I thought on one of those pictures so nice girl pre-flowers if you are still in veg. She's mature so when ever you decide to change the light, they are gonna flower right away!!

I appricate all the help, turns out you all were right, it was just some dead roots making the water dirty.....must have stunted a few plants growth some, and some leaves have some def showing but all new growth looks great.....

so the clones are 24 days old since I bought them...and range in height from 8" (my runt) to 14" tall...they would be alot taller im sure if I didnt tie them all down, but it looks to me as if LST has produced many more verticle stems then if I hadnt.....but my question is do you think they are ready for flower...my grow room is 5'x4' (actual grow area, not including my 1' buffer.....and I have 5' from the top of my buckets to the bottom of the light when its fully raised....so I dought I need to worry about height, more worried about the plants getting too bushy...

I want to maximize my yeild without going past a point of dimenishing return....I dont want to flower to early when a few more weeks could have meant a much better yeild, and I dont want to flower to long and have the plant grow too wide for the room stopping light from getting to bud sites....My goal is 1lb....some have told me 2lbs is possible, but I wont hold my breathe...

I havent found any other grow logs on Chemdog #4....if anyone knows of some please post links....I have no clue how much they stretch in flower or how bushy they get, total yeilds.....

So any advice on when to flower would be greatly appricated....

Dazed' you beat the krap out those by rushin' them. Take it easy with the poor girls. Start with less light ie floros', cfls OR smaller wattage HID's. Start the light high and ease them into putting out some new roots and growth...it might take a week OR two..then toss them into the buckets.

I start my Chem 4's in a Chunky/not so chunky perlite mix. They get watered 3 times a day and at 700/800 ppm..GH 3 part/5.7 ph and nothing else...roots will come and explode a week in. Upon transplant just rinse off the perlite..OR most of it 'cause some will be stuck to the roots...just method but it's tried and true

Make sure you have a nice simple mix and make sure it's like 1/2 strength of whatever your using..leave the additives and snake oil to the pros..ie liquid karma etc. and all the other nonsense grow stores push..I use GH and have been for like forever..it's simple but Botanicare or whatever works fine..just don't overdose 'em early

AND take V'Elvis' advice for sure.

Personally I'd bag those but it sounds like your on a budget and need to ride out the storm. Be patient..and eventually they should throw some new growth...

Once you get them rollin' I'd take a few cuttings and make some mommies.

....are they dead?

curious, I have the same cutting from fruitridge, and mine is a huge mommy.

Hope they are real chems!
