Ive made a couple threads on here and learned a bunch from the fine folks on this forum. I then took a hiatus as I slowly built out my room (and i mean very slowly lol..). My dehumidifer was broken so I only started 1 table because it was getting way too humid. I have since fixed the dehu, so kind of regret not starting later but here is the 1 table so far! Next run will be a full room.

Growing in rockwool cubes under gavita led's, just flipped them to 12/12 yesterday. They were all underneath the netting yesterday and have so far stretched slightly past it. Let me know if anyone has critiques or questions! Will hope to post updates on here.

Few pics of the single table so far and the mother they came from..

Am I seeing signs of heat stress or wind stress on these plants?
Ambient temps around 84F with leaf temps around 75-77F. When the oscilating fans blow by they do move quite a bit but nothing too drastic, considering its the same setup i've used in the past. Something to worry about or nah?

Looks like they're canoeing a little but I would wait and see if it's just an anomaly or they really are stressing. I would say light stress.

Do I see the beginning of nitrogen w possibly magnesium deficiency ?

ya might ease the light a little bit if it gets worse, thanks for the input.

have had mag issues under these lights before, been supplementing with epsom salt. Although i think its just the photos in this case, the camera exposure under these lights dont really show the plants accurately. but will keep an eye for sure.

How much epsom per gal. Be careful. To much causes other nutrients to lock out as a side effect. At this stage a little foliar spray w it. 1 teaspoon per gal distilled apply to leaves. Stop soil side effects like if you just start adding shit type of effects. Lockout. Mold. Rot, burn ( 1 tsp per gal strength)

Leaves look a little bloated too. Did you just feed them when you took the photo?

He's definitely borderline magnesium deficient with nitrogen running lean. Here's his leaf

Leaf temps lower than ambient air temp? U put that backwards by accident ?

There is nearly always a temp drop from ambient compared to leaves. Under hid usually about 2* and 4* for led in general. Those drops are used to calculate VPD.

using 1g/gal at the moment but in the feed rather than foliar. I've read about and also experienced mag issues under these specific LEDs (gavitas). Maybe i'll supplement a foliar spray once and see what happens.

Yea I noticed that too, it was much worse a week or so ago. I am in rockwool and they get fed on timers every hour, so technically yes they just got fed. I recently lowered the feed volume after noticing the bloating, maybe I'll lower it a tiny bit more.. I think they were getting overfed at a certain point cuz I was getting too much runoff too early in the day.

Yup exactly. I am under LEDs so they give off almost no ambient heat. It's cold where I am and the room is in the basement so I usually see leaf temps 7-8 lower than air temp. @Moe.Red is spot on with the 2-4 difference, but that's in the summer for me.

You are dialed in nicely and the leaves look very good. I love the way you have the fans over the canopy. Looks like you are kicking ass with this one.
Thanks my man! 😁

Starting to see some flowering sites on all the plants but ran into, not really an issue but something im curious about.

I have a trolmaster controller and I had the deadband set to 5% for the RH up until this point, but now that the plants are really going, the humidity reaches the set point very quickly. And since theres a hot start delay function, the RH will go above my setpoint before its safe to kick on again. So as of right now I just set my deadband to 10%. I don't really mind to be honest but if theres an easy solution to have it fluctuate less, i am all ears!

Once you have it dialed in you should be fine, at least for this phase of the grow. Just gotta keep playing around with it trying to hit that happy medium.

What's nice about your situation is that you have a room you can program to do what ever you need. Now it's just figuring out what you need equipmentwise to be able to control your parameters in the way you want to control them.

I would suggest not going with that much of a dead-end. The dead band works like this. Lets say you have the Humidity set at 60. The troll master will not turn on the dehumidifier until the humidity gets to 70 percent and it will run the dehumidifier until the humidity gets down to 50 percent. Basically the lower the dead band the closer to the set point the humidity will stay.

what size grodans are you using just picked up the hugos
yup same, hugos. i think theyre 6x6x6

ok so this is exactly what im familiar with when i see the word deadband. However, it seems to be the opposite with this trol master controller. So im used to working with deadbands exactly how u described but this one works so that the dehu will turn on at 60% which is my setpoint, and since i have it at a deadband of 10, it will continue to run until it hits 50%. It was bizarre to me at first, if theres a way to switch it i have no clue how.

so before i had it at a deadband of 5, so it would kick on at 60 and stay on until 55, rinse and repeat all good. But now the humidity rises so quickly that from 55-60 isnt enough time to bypass the hot start delay and would end up hitting near 70 before kicking on again. Which is why its at 10 now, and it seems to be fine so far, usually goes from 62~ back down to 50, rinse and repeat.

hopefully i explained that correctly lol, took me a bit to wrap my head around. the deadband works the same for my temps too, so i dunno if its a trolmaster thing or what.

I normally have 3 levels of trellis but this one needed 4, these plants stretched like a motherf'er but I think theyre finally done stretching. I think its the middle of week 2 at the moment. Did a clean up trimming and all thats left to do is just watch them fatten up and defoliate here and there.

Got a little tip burn on all the plants so I recently dialed down my nutrient mix by 20%, and added fulvic acid to my tank. We shall see what happens!
