Hi guys....I have got myself in some trouble here after using a Kelp it Real 0-0-14 Foliar. I mixed a liter it appears with a full teaspoon which is full 4 gallon dose.

These plants are in week 6 and have had their troubles a few weeks back when heat was out 2 nights in a row which cause Phosphorous Def/Overwatering. I have just been getting them back so we can go to flower and I went and did this ☹️

To note: I was running GreenGenes Boost of 2-2-2-1.2mkp @ 1.2 EC to boost levels for flower. I am now back to str8 3-2-1 mix @ 1.2 EC

I can't get out of my own way since the fall grow went sideways and my troubles have continued...here is info & the pics

Everything I read says flush but can't see the Foliar changing pH. I checked yesterday, pH 6.2, ec 1.3 when I checked the worst plant. I know pH means squat in coco but if it's way out it will show imo.

So...turn lights down and wait it out??

Or

Something proactive that may help.

Thanks

Sporty,

Goodness sakes, Don’t be so hard on yourself. You indoor growers take on a lot.

You should have had a decent level of reserve nunturetns locked up in the soil making it hard to flush down to a deficiency. But, Based on the pictures it looks like you lost mostly cations. You must have really flushed that organic laden soil.

Actually it’s a good thing you did. Now you can wipe that white board clean and start fresh.

The plants are a little chlorotic at the meristems. Whatever the nutrient deficiency is the plant cannot relocate that nutrient to the actively growing parts. So it’s not lacking nitrogen. Shy on phosphorus causes noticeable pigment changes usually purple. Pigments are a good way to store fixed carbon when P or energy to transform molecules is lacking. Kind of akin to a plant packing in carbon, oil style.

I’m thinking Fe, Mg and/or Mn.

To quickly confirm - mix 1/4 tsp of Epsom salts and 1/4 tsp of iron sulphate with about 1/2 quart of water in a spray bottle. Spray the leaves to run off. Don’t spray one plant, something to compare back to.

Give it a day.

The plants will jump back quickly. Play some music for them.

Zill.

Too much potassium can lock out your magnesium. Not posiitive if that is what it is or not but I am not a fan of kelp products like some and because of the lockout aspect. Really easy to overdue and it would go along with molasses being the same. Really concentrated stuff.

Again. Im not positive cause I don't know what else they feed on but that would be my guess. I would just take a break with K products for a bit until you see some change.

Yup I thought about K. But K would not be restricted to just the young tissue. It would tend to be more systemic, burning tips and showing intervienal chlorosis. No K no stomata.

I does look like it caused some Fe & Mag issues for sure...I'm a bit gunshy of the foliar you speak of but will research it.

Thanks

It’s very very dilute. Use 1/8 teaspoon then. It will help direct you to the correct diagnosis.

I grow outdoors and foliar feed when it’s nice out and I got a old beer in my hand. Good control allowing clean switching from veg to flower

It has affected all the new leaves...I am just going to chill for a few days more to see, I sprayed on Wed so we're now 4 days past. Watching for fresh new green creeping back in. This may take a bit to come around.

I may give that a try at lights on :) Thanks

This is unfortunate but it looks like you are getting good advise or feedback. Wish I had "the answer" but I don't. I am watching as I just bought FOOP garden blend to incorporate into my next veg/flower run. Keep your head up and think. Relax and enjoy some cannabis,Cheers SS

Update...not much has changed except they given a full flush to reset and I am back to str8 Jack's 3-2-1.
To note: I did not give that recommended foliar above. Just flush & nutes.

There has been some green come back but recovery is very slow and still seems there is more.
@Aqua Man @Moe.Red I hate to ask but could use some input, thank you.

I'm not @Aquaman but they do look a little better. The stats are right on with ec and vpd, pH and ppfd for 30" height to light, just "Hide an Watch" is all you can do right? SS
