Unknown gender and 🧬 but no matter what I'm gonna breed it I have 2 out of 12 that are whorled phyllotaxy so it must be a gene that's recessive but prominent in this strain so I'm gonna try really hard to "stabilize" it even tho it's not supposed to be able to be stabilized next step 6 I think I'm gonna stop at 12

I can't tell y these are so different they came from the same seed and planted the same time but one is super short and sticky and one tall and thin

The whorled phyllotaxy mutation creates 3 shoots per node so it naturally produces more flower than standard plants so a whorled phyllotaxy will go 1_3_6_12 tops and so on and a reg will be 1_2_4_8 tops when manifolding so if I stabilize it then start introducing bigger yield or more potent strains to it I can hopefully make the first stableish whorled phyllotaxy plant that also produces great flower is my goal

Good goal, hope it works out! Make sure to repot back, that is interesting

Just an update but I love the top down shot of the 3 uniform nodes and I am now onto 6 tops next is 12 without stressing the plant as much I defoliated in the middle cause they were just overlapping and wanted to keep things uniform

also what I love about this mutation is that it also will spontaneously sprout extra tops like here there are 3 tops when only supposed to be 2

I expect it will be a challenge to keep all 14 growth tips maxed out due to the limited root mass that supports them. But maybe not. Are you going into mega pots?

No staying in a 5 gal pot and I haven't seen where I would need to I know u can go to 16 indoors without a problem

Ok good, I wasn’t aware of that. 5 gal sounds good to me, I get 8-tip manifolds in 3 gallons, and I have some unused 5-gal bags. I’m interested!!
