Finally got around to growing two of my favorite classic strains. Power plant from Dutch passion and Sensi Star from paradise seeds. I grew both of these on a regular basis about 20 years back. Very uniform growth pattern. I only ever saw 1 phenotype from the PP. Vigorous vertical growth. Did well as a sea of green which was how I used to grow it.
The sensi star had 2 phenos. 1 a bit more indica leaning, shorter stocky plant, and a more sativa leaning, tall bushy, thinner leaves. Neither liked to be topped I found, but this time around the sativa pheno I've got is getting topped and tied down.
Both are big plants currently. Even after topping and tie downs both are 2 feet tall. In 10 gallon pots currently with beanstalk fertilizer.
Before and after pics of tie downs and defoliar on the SS. Flipping to 12/12 tonight

Real nice job! Looking forward to seeing her in 6 weeks.
What you going to feed her?

Thanks man. I'm currently using a slow release fertilizer from a company called BeanStalk. 5 gallon pot packs. 90 days of fertilizer, Great product. Used it on my last grow with a strain called Dynamite. I supplement with a bit of bloom booster and late flower Molasses but I let the plants tell me what they want.

Sounds like you have a system that works for you.
Hope to see pictures of her all finished up!

Sensi Star on the left, Power Plant on the right. 9 days into flower looking nice and healthy. Humidity can be a bit higher soon, got a humidifier out of storage. Temps are nice.

Oh my gosh. I have been waiting to grow sensi star for over a decade. Happy to stumble across this thread as she's next in line for 2024. No topping and give her space. Got it 👍🏽 thanks.

I recommend everyone grow this strain at least once. Real classic genetics and has been use as a base in a bunch of current strains

Some before and after pics of the defoliar process. 2 weeks into flower. Cut back the sensi star pretty heavily and chopped off a few of the lower skinny branches to try and force flowering focus to the tops a bit more. Will likely take the sensi star to 10 weeks, the power plant to 9 depending on how the trichs look. Got them some b52 and big bud from advanced nutrients yesterday along with some cal/mag.

Didn't get an after of the pp, will tomorrow. Wifes cat enjoys eating any green leaves he can get his hands on. He's an old weirdo.

Week 6 of flower. Starting to bulk up. Might have to stake up the sensi star soon. Big feeding of Molasses, advanced nutrients overdrive and b52.
Power plant not as beefy but still nice

Day 55. One last drink of flawless finish for them both
Growth and bud structure just like I remember from 20 years ago. Something to be said about reliable never back crossed genetics. If I had room to breed them I'd cross the two. Star Power, or Plant Star lol.
If the sensi star went any longer I'd have to stake it up. Top colas are about to snap off. Will chop em down on boxing day
