Hello fellow growers,

I'm relatively new to cannabis cultivation and am currently facing a perplexing issue with my four Jealousy strain plants that I hope to get some insights on. Despite my efforts to maintain a healthy grow environment, all 4 of my plants have developed a strange leaf problem during their flowering stage, which wasn't present during the vegetative phase.

The issue involves tiny spots appearing along the veins of the leaves. Initially, these spots seem to be areas depleted of chlorophyll, which then turn into rusty brown patches after a few days. This is somewhat similar to a nutrient mix problem I encountered during the vegetative stage, which I had managed to correct at the time. However, this new issue has me stumped.

I'm growing in soil and have been using FloraGro, FloraMicro, and FloraBloom for nutrients, with additional CalMag. Although I've been diligent about balancing the pH of my water, I haven't checked the soil's pH recently, which I now suspect might be part of the problem.

I've conducted several inspections for insects with both naked eye and a hand lens but found nothing. Also, the spots don't appear to be mildew or anything that can be physically removed from the leaf surface; they're completely flat and integrated into the leaf itself. Additionally there are a couple other plants in the grow room that haven't developed this issue, just these 4.

Here are a few more details about my grow environment, if it helps:
- Temperature: Around 75°F to 80°F
- Humidity: Between 50% and 60%, though it's been fluctuating due to recent weird weather patterns.

Given that I'm still learning the ropes, any advice, insights, or suggestions from the community would be hugely appreciated. Could this be a pH issue, a nutrient-related problem, or something else entirely? Has anyone else experienced something similar with their plants?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Looks like a calcium issue I’m noticing the very begging of the same problem w mine. Wait for second opinion.

Can you tell me about your feeding schedule, are you on a feed, feed, feed schedule a feed, feed water, feed water, and how much ferts you giving them (if you know the ppm give me that) full dose on schedule chart, 1/2 dose?

Also how often do you water? Once every 3 days 4,5,6,7,8 days? And do you water until runoff or how much water do you water/feed with. Oh and pot size.

For example.i feed 1/2 gallon ever 3 days in a 7 gallon pot. I'm on a feed, feed feed, water schedule at 1/2 dose as recommended by the nutrient product feeding chart.

From the looks of the plants they seem to be showing a nutrient lock out from over fertilization. When this happens the problem usually starts at the top of the plant and shows as a magnesium or calcium deficiency, or both. Sadly this is going to directly effect how much light the plant can take and will start to show signs of light burn because of the deficiency caused by the nutrient lockout because of over fertilization.

If you can provide the info asked above I can give suggestions on how to possibly fix it.

I had the same issue with this plant and I fixed it, this started when I still had white stigmas about a month ago. After I fixed it the progression of the leaf detection stopped and the buds started growing again. You need to reduce the nutrients in the medium. The way I accomplished this is stopped giving ferts, I watered to 25% runoff. I repeated this until I showed the first sign of a nitrogen deficiency ( the bottom leaves starting to yellow. Then I continued my feeding schedule at half the dose of ferts I was giving them.

The leafs won't get better but the goal is to stop them from getting worse. Mine been the same for about 30 days now haven't gotten worse and the buds started growing faster again.

Anyways good luck I hope you get it fixed. 👍

Progression of the leafs deterioration*

Oh also the plant won't be able to handle as much light anymore. Because the leaves are damaged. So you got two choices one keep light intensity the same and but the damaged leaves off. (Which will be 70% of the leafs) or you can reduce light, which one is better idk bud density and light intensity kinda goes hand in hand imo so your guess is as good as mine on which way to go on that one.

And burn* sorry for typos hella stoned and my fingers are fat.

I've been watering every 3 or 4 days depending on how wet the soil is. I water until I have runoff typically and have them in 5 gallon cloth pots. I usually have been watering them with about half a gallon, maybe a bit more. As far as fertilizer I've just been following the schedule on the packaging. While it's disheartening to hear they are burnt and in trouble atleast I can take some steps to remedy it.

Yeah most feed charts from the fert company are way too strong. I wouldn't do a heavy flush or anything, just use water get a good 25% runoff and let your plant use up some of the nutes in the medium while.it dries out. Most likely you will need between 1-4 waters before you start to see a deficiency start on the lower leaves. But this will give you the sign that most nutes are out of the medium

I'll just have to take it as a good learning experience. I'll still get something out of them atleast. Thanks again for everyone's advice!

The plants look great, you just fell into the fert trap, fertilization companies want you to buy more ferts more frequently, so they make charts that are way to high of dosage. It's happened to most of us. Pull back on the nutes pull back on the light and she will fix herself. The damaged leaves will never get better but ease her through it and she will still produce decent.
