Seeing a lot of these on amazon, seem to have good reviews but no real ones based on start to finish growing experience with them. Thinking of maybe 2 of them in a 2x4x5 tent.
I’m not familiar with them. But at 8 sq ft, you’ll want about 240 true watts of LED. I’d vote for a bigger name, they each have a brand to protect. Migro.com is a good place to compare lights. I learned a lot there.Seeing a lot of these on amazon, seem to have good reviews but no real ones based on start to finish growing experience with them. Thinking of maybe 2 of them in a 2x4x5 tent.
How much does it cost?Seeing a lot of these on amazon
I was wondering how the light the OP is considering compares with other, better-knows brands. This, AFAIK, is a new series from ViparSpectra:Top, 120 W and the other 100 W.
Well the ViparSpectra has 324 diodes while the one the OP posted is 234 diodes, so that's one difference anyways.I was wondering how the light the OP is considering compares with other, better-knows brands. This, AFAIK, is a new series from ViparSpectra:
I would say that is definitely a deceiving marketing tactic.I was just posting a little more information on what he was asking about! But what irks me is the way they call it, 1000 W! If they would leave out, the W, then fine! Probably not the only thing, misleading about the light! And enough to send me looking elsewhere!
Same, a few people in amazon reviews state that their spider farmer of the same spec is similar, but aren't basing it off light readings or grow experienceI was wondering how the light the OP is considering compares with other, better-knows brands. This, AFAIK, is a new series from ViparSpectra:
I have to agree, especially with a light, that can cause house fires. Not a part to cheap out on imostay away from cheap unbranded lights, you will only run into issues later down the line.
Samsung is a big name and they make great diodes but lights with Bridgelux diodes should not be overlooked, they make some great diodes as well. Whether looking at Samsung diodes lights or Bridglux, if the light has red diodes then more then likely they are Osram red diodes. You want something with Samsung diodes. Either the lm301b or lm301h. The 288s are ok to but use more power.
I’ve been wondering if those step dimmer switches could be replaced with something like a rheostat switch (smooth action, no steps). Anyone know?My only issue is the step dimmer switch but other than that I think it's one of the best lights you can use for a 2 x 2.
