Looking for growers with experience here in northern New Mexico... I'm wondering when my outdoor crop switch to flower??? When does the stretch come??? Any knowledge of outdoor cannabis growing in this hot dry desert would be awesome....
TIA

patience bro= the key to successful growing, my guess you will see preflower in 2-3 weeks hopefully., keep us posted

Cannabis flowers in response to a decrease in the light each day. When people grow inside they force this to happen by changing lights to 12 hours on / 12 hours off. In the wild, you will be subject to the turning of the seasons and the natural decrease in light as we head toward fall. Most strains will begin to flower near 13 or 14 hours of light daily, which for Albuquerque would be sometime near Aug 15. Use the chart attached for reference.

Thank you for your response... so then mid August is when I should expect to see them do their pre-flower stretch or will that come before the middle of August?

I will keep everyone posted!! This is a fully organic grow with sub cools super soil recipe but the smart pots I'm having trouble keeping the middle of the pot wet top and bottom are wet it's pissing me off. Trying to water with a weed sprayer putting little bits on it all over the place over and over again I can get the top in the bottom wet middle don't wanna get wet.... copy on the 2 to 3 weeks tell stretch... I just put up my trellis nets so we shall see what happens...

Update on my plants they have done some stretching all right!! I'm in a bit over my head though I grew all different strains and they are showing signs of deficiencies or possibly too much nutrients I don't know exactly took some pictures I tried to group them together the best I could to show the different plants so if anybody has any info chime in please I'd love to hear it thanks everyone!!

I am two states west of you and the nights are beginning to grow longer and the day shorter. Sun is down at 8 pm. I suspect soon .

Yes sunset tonight is a 7:57 my plants are now all in full flower mode, between week 2 to 4. I just pray I'm able to hold it together for the last 2 months give or take a bit... but with all these different strains it's hard to keep up who's what each one needs or doesn't need... but thanks for replying to my post and good luck with your grow my friend...

Just saying High. Grew up in Gallup and used to work for TD'S show clubs in Albuquerque many years ago. My parents, sister, nieces and nephews live out there still. Good luck with the grow. 😁

Dude, I am in Santa Fe, growing outside, using organic soil, filtered water, and some Roots Organic top dressing. I can't really comment on your nute problems, but I have learned that some seedlings will get burned by the hot sun if you don't harden them up, and the hot sun makes the girls thirsty.
PM me if you'd like and we can chat further.

At this stage, if you haven't labeled them, just look at each one individually and try to give it nutes for the symptoms it has. No other choice I think.

I think it is a given that when flowering starts, some of the older leaves will turn yellow. At least that is what is happening to my girls
