Just got carded up for the year 😁.

This season the backyard is allowed to have 36 plants above 24” (12 of which are flowering).

So the plan is to run a partial amount of our 12 full term plants and use the rest of the numbers to make seed selections for next year.

I enjoy making my own seed. Some breeders today use seed that I made over 10 years ago 😁.

But now, I’m really passionate about putting in time and work to take all of the strains that I run today to my own IBL Heirloom Seed Selections that way I can preserve them (how I like them) for the future. And so, if my kids (or their cousins) ever decide to take on growing… they’ll already have a whole catalog of IBL seeds (that are all uniform and breed true) to start with.

I also grow in a greenhouse during the off season… so instead of sitting on lbs of EXCESS prime season outdoor for years, I’m opting to be sitting on PREMIUM SEEDS that I can share with people FOR MANY YEARS TO COME (and I’ll just grow for smoke during Winter/Spring… greenhouse)

My favorite out of ALL my clone only moms

“Brawski’s Headband” aka “Brawband” brought to the community from the homeboy “Breeder” aka Jim Brawski from Oregon Green Free (an old medical marijuana club that we used to have here pre rec)… this is an OG Kush headband type that’s been in Oregon since the early to mid 2000s

When the cut made it to Oregon, it came with the label “The ORIGINAL Headband”

Last time I grew her was in 2016… when I was helping my friend transition from medical to rec (I was handling his medical grows for him while he built his rec garden)

And NO!! It’s NOT GG4, lol. I don’t know what’s up with that Phylos Strain Entry for this cut… my guess is they mixed up Glue with Headband when they labeled their sample submissions or the entered GLUE as headband on purpose

I’ve seen this cut at OGF in 2008 BEFORE glue even existed

I created this strain to breed the “Early Flowering Trait” from OD into all of my favorite clone only varieties. Oregon Diesel ISN’T an auto flower, but it NATURALLY triggers into bloom Mid June and it finishes in outdoors (in Oregon) in Late August / Early September

The plan is to grow and sift a bunch of these seeds to find my keeper male (selected for EXTREME Affie frost, EARLY OD finish, and STRONG INDICA effect)… and then start breeding that early finish trait into elite clones (via outcrossing and backcrossing)

They germinate purple (even being under the sun during a heat wave)

“Project September” seed run is done

Project September was bred by a private breeder (one of the homeboys) in Eugene by the name of puffin. The genetics are (Oregon Diesel x 1978 Original Los Angeles Affie)

I selected my keeper male and couple of females and dubbed them “OD Affie” aka “Outdoor Affie” which I used to make OD Affie F2s

The male that I selected is a FAST and FROSTY berry type male (Oregon Diesel leaning on smell and flavor, but LA Affie leaning on plant and leaf structure and frost)

And I hit Millerville Farm’s personal cutting of “Jager OG” (which is a licorice selection made from the Purple Hindu Kush) with OD Affie pollen to make a FAST PURPLE KUSH type.

Instead of genetics being: “Hindu Kush x Purple Afghani” like Kenneth’s (Trichome Tech) 1995 Original Purple Kush… I did “(Purple Hindu Kush x (FAST Purple Berry type x Purple Leaf Afghani type)”
