Try using it for flower pots or something too. I have tires filled with promix outside we plant in every year never have to really fuck with it just seems to last forever 🤠
I also add it to my berry patch, this one got all the leftover peat (4x 5 gallon buckets full) from the cali blues / cali dream run, then was tipped with a full bag for fox farms acid loving plants amendment

As peat is known to get more acidic as it ages and berries love acidic soil, figured it was a win win… the results are… crazy, told the wife I hope she’s ready to make a lot of jam 😂

You know now that I think about it, my well water is pretty damn alkaline so that's probably helping mine stay balanced. But either way seems to work. I was using RO water for the longest time until I put my hydroponics equipment in storage.

Hey @Captspaulding Found some of the 2012 cement shoes seed harvesting photos

Found a couple pics of some buds

This plant went through the ringer, week 4ish of flower she split the stalk 6-8” down the center only received about 1/4 of the neuts I’d usually use, I taped her up to finish her out to save the genetics luckily she pulled through, can’t wait to see her pushed to the max

Is there an effective way to kill eggs in store bought soil that are just waiting to spring up in my perfect, insect environment ✌️💨

Thanks
If I have time and conditions are right (summertime) I use heat. I will put soil in black garbage bag, then put that inside my metal garden shed. Sun beats down on shed all day, gets well over 120* in there for hours on end. After 2 weeks of that, heat will kill just about any eggs in soil.

Barring that, I will put soil in a large tote and spray with mosquito bits, and let sit for a week. The BTI in mosquito bits will kill most larvae types.

Well I done fuckin did it this time!🤦‍♂️🙄 let the solo dry to much before up pot and the soil broke apart in my hands as I was getting ready to set it down into the bag, then of course I tried to “make things better” and it only fell apart more! I was able to hold support on the plant to hopefully not snap the tap root, but im not sure what how the other roots are doing. It’s my dumbass fault. Now i just hope it survives enough for clones! That was going to be my fire smoke!
@BearWater check your inbox, I had the gnome army send some extra good JuJu your way. I added some positive vibes to it as well. You will probably end up winning the shebang now.

I keep Misquito bits in my 5 gallon water jugs, I rotate fill them 24 hours (usually 48 hours) hours before I use them, so they sit with the BTI in it as it off gasses, been ding it for 3 years now and haven’t had a large outbreak since, I’ll get a few here and there right at the beginning of the grow (not too often with the promix but I bought some coast of Maine potting soil for my tomato’s I had in the lab and holy shit was that a disaster)

Got that soil outta the house and after a week of normal waterings they dissipated to maybe I’ll see one or 2 here or there, (Captain jacks insecticidal soap will decimate them in a pinch BTW)

Use the raspberries for fpj and feed them back to your plants.

I've been digging Mykos by Extreme Gardening. Just buy one bag and then make your own with a molasses and water mix. There's a video floating around here somewhere, or on YT I should say, showing a great way to breed your own mycorrhizae in this manner. I'll have to dig it up but my tooth is hurting so bad I can't even think straight right now 🤣

But I basically just add it back as I go in my pots. Like a teaspoon per 1 gallon pot, something like that. Doesn't take much especially if you make your own 🤠

Also I've stored used promix both outdoors uncovered, and indoors, never noticed any difference from fresh. It's really a great medium. I'm even growing my 1GC plant in some 3x used promix 🤣
Appreciate the info!!!

Does the Pro-Mix HP need to be fed nutrients immediately?
Idk if it has any nutrients in it to carry the plant for awhile, don't see any NPK or anything related on the bag

It’s a bare base no neuts added 😁

Just myco perlite and a wetting agent depending on the type of promix

What coast of Maine did you use? I just started using the stonnington blend. Havnt used it before but it looks ok and takes water fine. The tomato and veggie coast of Maine just came in yesterday. I’m planning on doing a strawberry plant and two small tomatoes in it. That one doesn’t take water at all. I dropped the seeds in the soil and used my spray bottle till the water started pooling up. (which wasn’t much) came back a half hr later and it didn’t absorb at all. I was thinking it just needed to be conditioned but after a little massage of the bag and soil it’s still not taking water how I’m used to.

They are for sure man's best friend. . Daisy looks like she was a real sweet heart.

It was a 50/50 mix of the potting soil, and the tomato and vegetable

I’ve used stonington blend in the past good soil but it’s been awhile since I used it

I do use some of their dry amendments as well

not sure why it wouldn’t absorb water, the stonington blend is coco/peat etc, The tomato and veggie I started 800 veggie seedlings in in the spring and I used a 50/50 blend of the 2 but they took water fine
