I'm growing autoflowers in a 3x3 Tent. My buds have been turning out fairly fluffy instead of dense. I have great trichrome content, super sticky. Just fluffy. What am I doing wrong?

Humidity during flower- 35-40%

Temp- 80-84

Light- Hydrofarms t1000 (16 hour cycle)

Nutrients- Foxfarm Big Bloom (no nutrients during last 2 weeks of flower)

Soil- Foxfarm Coco Loco.

What's your rh in veg and preflower? I read that rh in preflower is very important for keeping buds tight. Also I believe there are a few nutes that play a role in it. I have a grow in coco loco currently. Photos. I had to add calmag.

Rh?

During veg I keep a pretty solid 55% during flower 35-40%

80-85° @ most (73-75 during dark cycle)
I think those highs are a little too high. I was shooting for 75ish and lower during lights on and even cooler for lights off. Whats your climate control situation like?

How far from the canopy you run your light?

I tryed to find this light but i could'nt. I got 2 questions do you know what watts it draws ? Why 16 cycle?

I tryed to find this light but i could'nt. I got 2 questions do you know what watts it draws ? And why only 16hrs? Most autos growers use 18/6 20/4? It must get really hot in there and why those buds could be fluffy? But i'm thinking it's the light ?
Thank you. You weren't the first to mention the temps

Oh i see it now hmmm I'm not sure looks like your soil is out of wack best remove all those damaged leaves.
Will do. I don't have a ph tester. Perhaps I should invest in one to keep soil at proper levels

I have a 4 inch duct fan. And a humidifier. I use a vivosun growhub e42a. I run it on the recipes provided. Perhaps I should be using it manually?

hmmm. I cant answer that man. Can you adjust it so the fans come on when the temp gets higher? Whats your temp in the room Vs tent? I run a different controller than you but have used the “recipe functions” but found making my own to fit my room/shed was more advantageous (its still an auto function but just my parameter settings) it has taken some time to play and figure my situation out. I would try and get that lights on temp down lower. sorry this isn’t much help at this point. We’re getting into needing more info to help with customizing your setup to your region and climate. Like im starting use my natural outside climate to control indoor climate, which changes every parameter on my controller lol! I still turn my fans on manually during certain times of or temp.

This is actually pretty helpful. I will start playing around with the settings and do more research for my area.

I live in Northern California. The tent is in my bedroom and it stays between 72° and 78° usually.

If you're in soil there isn't much need to pH.

My tent this run was hardly under 80 and my nugs are decently compact.

Maybe airflow is it then? My environmental parameters were not as in check as yours but I did have massive airflow 24/7.

Is the duct fan inside or outside of the tent? They can produce unwanted heat, so if it’s inside, perhaps you can mount it on the outside. Gives you more space in the tent too. Good luck!

Yeah man thats perfect if you can get the air flow going like @AZreefer and @Galgrows were suggesting : )

I think youre right reefer! I would try and get the fans set up to move as mush of the cool air into the tent as possible with exhausting the heat from within the tent : )
