you mean caterpillars?Bud worms how to eliminate
Suggestions?? Saw 2 today. About as large as a pistleIt's hard to do once they get into the plants during flower.
This pic is zoomed 4x. Of course I've found two of these today. Are the black specks on leaf poop?you mean caterpillars?
you mean caterpillars?
I use Monterey BT(Bacillius Thuringiensis ) next time and in the future begin at the very beginning of pre flower. Use it, i skipped 2wks and here we are. This pic is zoomed 4x. Of course I've found two of these today. Are the black specks on leaf poop?

Once you have buds, I'm assuming it's too late?I use Monterey BT(Bacillius Thuringiensis ) next time and in the future begin at the very beginning of pre flower. Use it, i skipped 2wks and here we are.
Put the plants somewhere really hot maybe?Once you have buds, I'm assuming it's too late?
Yeah pretty much. If you know you have them in your area start spraying in June/July and try to knock down the population so you’re not getting totally overwhelmed in Sept/Oct. You won’t be able to completely erratic them, but hopefully it will limit the loss.Once you have buds, I'm assuming it's too late?
I've not seen anymore, nor any yellow or wilted sugar leaves. I'm checking, hopeful. I've never had this problem before, nor problems with deer. This summer all hell broke loose. :/ new respect for indoor grows!! LolUmmmm, caterpillars in your buds eating away don't care how hot it is.
ive never had a grow where i didnt lose some flowers to these guys introducing some damage and fungi,I use Monterey BT(Bacillius Thuringiensis ) next time and in the future begin at the very beginning of pre flower. Use it, i skipped 2wks and here we are.
I spoke too soon. I found a brown spot on a bud, dug and at first thought Bud rot, thnx Oregon. No, I found worm as well. Oke's a little further, saw another in a bud. Dug a little deeper, saw a minuscule sibling. :( fukers. I'm wondering if I should just pull the buds and ?? Crap, I don't know.Yeah, outdoor growers are a different breed. I don't have it in me. Got my ass handed to me. May grow a couple outside for funsies next year, but I'm probably moving indoors. I'm not built for heartache like this. Hahaha.
Glad you've not had anymore issues. Once the caterpillars arrive, it's hard to get them in check because you can't see them until it's too late. Also, doesn't help that we can't nuke our plants because they are in flower.
I've seen some great ideas on this forum for keeping deer out of your plants. Check out @Thatoneguyyouknow_ grow journal. He's in the appalachian mountains killing it. He's informative and if he has time, will help you out.
I will try the UV flashlight. They are tee tiny when they first start out. I found three different buds damaged. Cut it out, cut that branch bout half way down.ive never had a grow where i didnt lose some flowers to these guys introducing some damage and fungi,
Imho, you are going to have some worms in flower without use of pesticides, its just part of nature. i pull a couple of these off my plants almost every time im out there.
If you grab a UV flash light and shine the plants in the dark, the caterpillar poops and chew damage will glow and it makes them a lot easier to find.
I am unwilling to spray flowering plants personally. With anything most of the time. Ime BT and Spinosad kill pistils early, they dont just redden them. that can also create late flower fungal issues too.
